It is always awesome to see some new faces come into the leaderboard. There isn't really that many rich people all around the world, think about how much one bitcoin worths and check out the leaderboard that way. The problem with bitcoin is when someone says "I wagered 1 bitcoin" you don't instantly thought about 8 thousand dollars, 8 thousand dollars is literally one year salary of millions of people around the world, even higher than that.
I am not joking, check out the number of minimum salary workers around the world and check out how much minimum salary is in that country and you will see that there are hundreds of millions of people who work for a whole year and make less than 8 thousand dollars. There are people who wager 3+ on this leaderboards all the time.
Well, thats life which theres poor and rich ones and for us average joe's do see these numbers would really got amazed and i cant deny into that. I cant even wager for as much of $1000 maximum but these guys do able to reach it for a few bets which do really amaze me.Wagering 1 Bitcoin doesnt mean that you do need 1 whole btc and wager it yet same as being said above you can reach it even you do had 0.3-0.5 btc depending on how you do bet.

Yes I agree with you, but do you think that most people that is having $8000 salary per year are having their time to do the gambling? I do not think so, because most of them will choose not to gamble their money away like that. And usually the one that gambling is that having much better salary. How do you expect them to gamble even for their own cost is not enough? And btw when you gamble you really need some luck so it does not actually cost you 1 btc to wager 1 btc may be it will be less or even depends on how you going to set

He was only saying that there are many rich people that gamble and he is right. Anyway, I think there are many people have even much more than 8000 dollar per year and involved in the gambling. These kind of people enjoy gambling. These people can afford to lose big money. There is no doubt there are many of these people involved in gambling.

@milewilda thanks again for this list and I can see HDF is back, that means we can expect whales to compete with each other. PowerHemp welcome here you’ll enjoy playing at Bitdice, also hoping to see your name on the leaderboard during the contests whenever they’re announced. @btc_angela I’ll agree with you and @slaman29 these whales play in a different league, but someday I hope we too will be able to play big bets like them.
Yes, i've notice it too since Hdf is been here on Bitdice for too long and now he came back.Quite surprised that there were new faces on the leaderboard which means Bitdice is doing pretty well to attract new players. Yep, HDF is a beast, I do hope that he has a forum account though, at least we can also interact with him. Again, as I have said before, new faces come in and makes Bitdice their home because they know that they are in the good hands and they feel very comfortable that they are going to get paid here. Talking about new faces then this week speaks for itself. lol .. snip ..
I would consider this sharks, Lol, but definitely they are in and it's possible that they can be whales in the future specially if they won big and try to get into the next level of betting (1 BTC'ish) @BTCevo -sometimes people are willing to try their luck and put everything in line, including those people who's salary are around $8k per year. If you are going around casino's lately (traditional based), I noticed a lot of people just looking for their luck regardless if they are making just $8k or $80k, in my opinion.

Its just the beginning of the week and its just normal to see those small numbers initially and you can point out which of them do plays bigtime or just on average but those numbers arent really that something that anyone can reach out. People do have different goals when they do gamble and their actions will vary on their financial capacity yet its dumb to go all in to gamble if you do know that you are insufficiently funded or just simply fully relying on your salary on daily living.

And we are just going to be in awe because honestly at least in my case I can't reach that big amount. Lol.

I don’t think HDF is here but if you remember justpoor who won a huge amount was here, and who knows in future other whales too may join us here. I’ll second that not only gamblers are assured of payments, but they’re paid instantly, which is why gamblers love playing big bets at Bitdice.

Everyone knows that gambling is addict, especially when you are on losing streak so I do not think that it is wise for people who seeks luck in gambling when they have more than enough salary for themselves. I do not know what they think about but even you are having enough for yourselves, how are you suppose to get some money left for gambling? It cant come into my mind that most of them are seeks profit with a very little salary, it is too much for me

@Juggy oh I definitely remember justpoor. I bet you these guys have 10 or 20 identities and use them the way they suit their moods when they gamble;)
@angela: I'm lucky that I live and earn in the big city so yeah I can identify. But in most of my country and neigbors, salaries start at less than $300 a month for a 22 year old fresh graduate. If you're unlucky to only have secondary school, you start with $200. And that's if employers follow the law. And I know some of these guys, they also gamble but on those mobile apps that aren't even provably fair. I keep telling them to be smarter but they gamble like a month salary just in a few minutes and then borrow money and then start disappearing etc. Very sad.

Same here in my country, those who earn less are most addicted gamblers, every thing that they can get their hands on, they will simply put everything on the line, including online games. @PowerHemp - sometimes it's really good to take a break. @BTCevo - I agree, however, we don't really understand what's on their mind. Putting their month's salary on gambling. That's why we have a saying here, "One day Millionaire". If they won big, expect that it will be gone in just one day.

in my country, those who earn less are most addicted gamblers,
its a simple logic . they are not happy with thier earning so they want to double thier money in the form of gambling but those who earn big are contented enough so they dont play gamble at all every thing that they can get their hands on, they will simply put everything on the line, including online games.
its okay if those less earners will gamble only what they can afford ( ex. putting 1/4 of thier money as bets ) so its not evasive at all whenever they loose . atleast when they loose they still have some cash left on thier wallet . we have a saying here, "One day Millionaire". If they won big, expect that it will be gone in just one day.
i have heard of that saying before . it goes like " one day millionaire , one month sustainer " the saying applies mainly for workers that spends thier salary only a day or two due to debts/loans , and other expenses while thier salary is small . but not all who win will spend thier money in one day .

^^ New set of players? Never seen those names before, unless I'm mistaken. Nevertheless, bitdice is performing very well so I'm not surprised if we saw new whales or mid-tier gamblers shifting to bitdice, an established crypto gaming site that stood the test of time and even though there's a lot of competition around, we remain on top. New names doesn't mean new people, that the fact. In term of a business I don't think it perform well enough, it might be OK for a single man company but they have many employees...their total wager volume per week might need to be much more bigger than this. Act fast, change fast, do it fast and make it Bitdice!

Just to keep it straight and simple. - No gambling site would survive for how many years if they we'rent profitable on the first place. They do know on how to play the game with this very saturated gambling and able to get some marketshare and thats already enough for you to consider that they are going good.

How many players one place has doesn't showcase how much they profit. There are tons of stuff like how much those players gamble in total and how much the costs are. Revenue minus costs equals profits, we have literally neither of those numbers, we don't know their revenue, we don't know their costs, which means we don't know their profits.
Just because we know there are new players or old players with new names or how much certain players wagered doesn't mean we know the full picture. Long story short we really need to find out a lot more about bitdice operational finances in order to claim if they can continue operations for years or not, since they don't need to publish such personal information, we will never know how great they are doing ourselves.

Check current stat of wagered vs player won. Currently it's 0.5+/- BTC income on their Dice, this stat got reset somehow but it's there for like 2 weeks since their last database upgrade. 0.5 Btc for two weeks or 1.0 Btc a month, I don't think it can cover all the operation costs. Don't want to make you down but this is the fact, thus act fast since there are numerous of dice sites including many new ones are getting famous extremely fast, you surely don't want that happen which player go for these sites and stay there.
