BTC at $1,000 by Christmas?

Yes, I think so, only one week not could probably could reach $1,000. It looks like this will occur in 2017, however this is a good time to buy a bitcoin, I'm sure the price will continue go up.

I'm losing my hope now that the price of bitcoin will reach $1,000 before the Christmas eve. So my another hope is to accept the fact that bitcoin is possible to reach $800 before the end of the year. And let's just hope for the next year to come that bitcoin is going to reach that $1,000 mark.

It could happen overnight, though if it is going to happen at all, it will likely take more time than that. Some two months ago the price had risen from $600 to over $700 in just a few weeks, so the prices of either $900 or $1,000 wouldn't be something out of the ordinary. That said, we should still be glad if the price just reaches the $800 level by the New Year, then we could hope that in the new year it will finally take the $1,000 barrier.

But we have now only almost a week before the Christmas day come. No more hopes for $1,000 and now its better to aim something lower than that is more acceptable and yes $800 is. And the price now is, $786. $14 dollars more before it reaches and we have still ample time that it is going to happen before Christmas day.

800 is realistic price for Xmas for the moment don't think it will be over or near 1000 by Xmas no way it can happen in just one week

That's why I'm losing my hope already and there's no more expectation that the price will be able to reach $1,000 on the day of Christmas. Better to move forward that it is possible to happen as the new year of 2017 will enter. I will just put my hope that it will happen in any month next year.

Christmas is going to be in five days. I doubt that bitcoin could rise for 200$ during this short period. I think this price will be possible with same temps if grow only in two months approximately. So 1000$ by Christmas is too optimistic I suppose.

Forget about $1,000 to Christmas! We are watching steady growth, without artificial pumps that often did more harm than good.
I think $800 is a very good result and we should be happy about that.
I would like to see a similar situation, also after the New Year - I mean stable growth, and then in 3 - 4 months $1000

The price has yet to cross the 800 dollar mark and christmas is fast approaching and that will not happen this year but the good thing is that the price of bitcoin has improved a lot from where it was in the beginning of the year and hope it will keep on rising in the coming years as more people will be involved in bitcoin.

It is very much possible because when I check on the price for the last 4 days it has been nothing but inching upwards from $0.50 to $1.50 at a time almost everytime that I check.
So given that much rise every 2 hours I can see it happening.

well that will be a great Christmas gift that we will receive for now but It seems really impossible for bitcoin to reach $1000 on or before Christmas, as we can see the price is still $790 althoug it is close to the said price but still we need a $210 dollars increase in bitcoin price and it seems not going to happen right away . the demand needs to be increased and many people will be needed to invest in bitcoin to make it possible .

So anything will be possible and I'm still having big confident bitcoin prices may reach around $1000 by this Christmas. But I'm not sure that prices will sustain there as people may start profit booking at those levels.

lol and you really believe that? the price you see is not just up up up, it is tiny swings before the sell off that is coming. $1000 is not happening this time around I don't think. I'd like to be surprised though.

I am happy with what the price of the bitcoin has been through right now, I am thankful with its current price and it's continuously increasing value. If the value will risen to $1000 that is the greatest christmas gift for me this year, if that happens I would share my other income with my relatives and friends.

Such abrupt price changes happen only with the price going down. The last time something like that happened was due to the Bitfinex incident in early August this summer, when the price collapsed from around $600 down to below $500. But that was primarily due to panic selling and likely hackers themselves selling their spoil. I don't remember a single case when the price would have risen $100 within a day.

Not enough time for bitcoin to reach 1000$ but 800 could be possible at christmas eve. Maybe next year we will see 1000$ ,and its my first time to see it.

In my opinion, it's not possible anymore for the price to reach $1000 this Christmas, it may touch but won't stay there, price won't be stable if we force it to be there. It will just drop since there is no support build up below that for sure. Even in New Year, if the price shoots up very fast, it would just return to the ground. But lets not forget that it is almost Christmas and New year is also approaching, anything could happen either a drop or a increase.

nobody is stopping "YOU" from selling your bitcoin satoshis and getting out to make profit before it is too late.

bitcoin is on the rise and it actually is on the verge of breaking out, the moment $800 price is broken price will go up at least another $30 in about a week.

It is rather funny how people think that price of $800 is something significant in the grand scheme of things. It reminds me of time when people were freaking out because bitcoin reached $1 value.
Hold your horses people, if you want to earn money then don't sell anything until bitcoin will reach $10.000 or more.
