BTC at $1,000 by Christmas?

By looking at current condition, I dont think $1k will happen by Christmas. Since it's going down again now. I was hoping too but, less likely now.

1000$ this christmas wont happen .as we are looking at the price right now it seems like bitcoin has a hard time to reach 800$. So it hapoens that the price goes down ,cause it cant pass the 800$ marked.

Could potentially, but however it is all hype and speculation at this stage and no real reason backing it up. I'd say that if we can get through this hurdle at mid 700's then we can hit higher levels easily, potentially in the next few weeks.

It is also interesting to see the fall of altcoins, meaning that the trader's funds are mostly engaged in BTC trading.

Anything is possible when it comes to bitcoin. So we can't rule out the possibility of reaching 1000 $ by Christmas. It would be a hell of a Christmas present for all bitcoin fans!

Don't know about Catholic Xmass, but on Orthodox it's more possible to happen

Regular people that you are indirectly talking about, don't even make a dent in the price. It's a group effort from whales that gets the price to move into a certain direction. I am already happy with how the price has been trying to build itself around the $750 level. Not long ago it was a point where heavy resistance was preventing the price to smash through $750, and now we're finally over that point. The only question is how long will it last? It doesn't take much for certain large traders to dump out of boredom.

Maybe it will happend, if TrumPump the price but as I see the price today is still stable and not too much moving, however it could be happend.

Their wont be always steady rise in the price it will always go up and down so i think the maximum price that we can see is nearly $825+ as the market is going stable this price is achievable.

But I could not see any specific reason why prices to stay exactly here. As once bitcoin prices break the resistance levels around $800 levels then it will move forward till $900 levels too. (the intermediate resistance levels around $840 to $860 will not have significant effects to resist hopefully). I am too expecting bitcoin prices to reach $1000 levels by Christmas.

I get what you mean, but it is all relative. If you personally don't get excited by $120 of profits, someone might not be quite excited by $2400 in profits either.

In my view, 25% in a few months is more than enough to excite even Warren Buffett himself.

I don't really think it is applicable to percentages. There are very little legal investments that would yield so much. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but stock markets had been yielding around 15-20% annually on the average. Therefore any higher percentage than that could be considered as an excellent result. Only very few traders are able to make +30% per annum year after year. Sometimes, just giving any profits is considered a good result.

That makes sense. People will usually shell out money for gifts and we can't expect new investments to come into bitcoin. In fact, people will even sell some bitcoin for fiat cash. However, I think 1000 USD can be crossed in 2017. So use this opportunity to add more bitcoins if possible.

I agree, there will be a big resistance to reach $1000.  A week had been cut out of Dec. and yet price is still playing at $730- $760.  I doubt it can even reach $850 at the end of this year.  It is a holiday season, people are spending their hard earned money to share the love of Christmas, I am expecting a dump before Christmas.

It is very likely we can see this because i looked at the preev price last night and this morning. It has risen and that is a good sign of stability.
It continues to rise and not fall to hard so that shows it is stabilizing nicely now.
Would also be a great Christmas present if it will reach $1000 by that time just in time.

In my view, the price could easily spike above $800 due to some whale loading up with bitcoins for a few million dollars, but it will hardly stay there for long and will bounce back to $750 as quickly. That said, we had all seen how quickly the price rose to above $700 from lower $600, in a matter of a few days only. Could something similar happen before New Year? Such things always happen out of the blue.
