version 1 release published with binaries

https://github.com/moonstonedac/moonstone/releases

if you don't want to build from source code, i included linux binaries of witness_node and cli_wallet
make sure you chmod +x those binaries to make them executable in linux

i compiled them myself. if you don't trust me, you can always build the source code.

Do we have to update ours wallets ? And why there is only 11 witnesses yesterday there was 20 people.

no need to upgrade, it's the same version. there were more active witnesses because i voted for everyone. now i removed all my votes.

Ok thanks for answer ,one more question about votes. The more votes you got the more shares you got ? Or the more xms you got the more shares you got ?

Your XMS is your share, which is also your voting power.
If you have 1000 XMS, each time you vote for a witness, that witness total votes will increase by 1000.

Ok i understand now and the last question .Each user can only vote for one user one time or multiple times ?

I would also like to know the answer to this...
And one more related question - how long the vote remains actual? Do we need to refresh them every day?
I ask this because on teh website I do not see many people I voted for... Only the ones I voted for today, are shown.

i think we must refresh them everyday as i checked and seen i had only voted for one and all the others have disappeared. Also i'm not on witness list anymore and only two had voted me.
would be if we vote each others everyday!will be annoyed to do that but will be fair for everyone

Is there another option to get started for users with lower rep accounts? I would be interested in running a witness and have slightly more established accounts on bitshares talk and steemit.

since i will have no way of knowing if the new accounts are owned by those with older accounts already, i guess you will have to wait for the ICO which will be soon.

That is unfortunate.

Its not something that requires considerable intelligence on ur part that permits u to sign a message from the bitcoin address u control, insert it into a post on steem.it and duplicate that post in this thread, to ensure it will come to moonstonedac's senses eventually. Additionally, post a pic of u chucking devs groin, convert it to an integer and put the byte code into a signed message, as to have 100% assurance this bummy dev won't back down.

I just did some voting and found that the GUI doesn't work. I vote in the command line and the GUI is updated immediately.

You need to vote from CLI.

Okay that was strange, I voted for wasda using CLI, it added them to the GUI list of votees and then removed it a few minutes later. I voted for wasda again and then it up it back into the GUI list..

I see whats happening, You can only vote for 7 people? is that right??

something is up with voting. I removed someone, then voted a new person in. What happened was it brought back the person I removed, added the person I voted in and automatically removed someone else. WTF? latency because I didn't wait for enough blocks?

Its funny and a bit disturbing... Riverhead and Stuhlman are upvoting themselves using their multiple alternative accounts and withdraws vests... And the ones who post here, and removed from the list one by one. There is a hidden group (who never posts here) who silently does their thing while we are posting and wondering what happens Smiley

Well, thats probably the way it works... The ones who are knowledgeable in Bitshares, will win by pushing everybody else out.. That's life  Undecided. But maybe thats the right thing, because they at least know what they are doing, so could be more useful as witnesses Smiley
I am still in the list, but gradually being pushed down by the silent players...

Hmm... Lets check if greed has to do something here...

Thanks a lot! That was a generous gesture Smiley I voted for you too. I think we are mostly nice and friendly group of people, but as always when there is just 11 slots and many candidates, there will be some competition (sometimes unpleasant one..)  Undecided

One more related question to you idolacchacked, as you seem to understand this thing better than most of us: is there any benefit in keeping the funds in Vests? In Steem there was a big benefit, not sure about Bitshares...

I think the problem here is that the dev didn't increase the default 11 witness nodes. It should have started at 101 and then increased as we got more interest.

Can we vote to increase the amount of witness node block finders?
