The following was left by Nova Exchange admin on the Insane Slack channel.

"the staking was disabled but it seems at some point the balance was locked for staking somehow even that the wallet had stake=0 and staking=0 and reserved balance etc

The wallet now gives correct error message when trying to make transaction, it detects the staking lock and now we just have to wait for that lock to be released

Tried to look into the code how many blocks that is without finding that specific parameter

Actually, wallet can be taken out of maintenance now, but withdrawals will not be possible until staking lock is released."

We're lucky of having Nova Exchange handling the swap. I can't imagine another exchange joining the slack and providing real time feedback of the progress of the work.

Swap has just started and going pretty smooth, only very small bumps that have already been fixed and a good looking and working new wallet.
Other (better) exchanges will surely follow soon enough. Patience is key...

what saddened me now is the price dropping of INSANE, hoping that it would be just a kickstarter to rise beyond the previous high price.

It's completely normal price is dropping a little. Investors are afraid the swap will go sideways...
Nothing indicates it will, but it's normal / human at this point to be afraid of losing your investment I guess. 

I've only just now succesfully swapped all of my INSANE to INSN and waiting for withdrawals to be enabled.

Tip: ALWAYS test your withdrawals in this stage and start with a small amount.
