Bitcoin should some good commercial ads to promote!

You can't promote bitcoin directly, I mean no one will do that with their own money spending. Rather than that the website owners should start using Bitcoin as their payment gateway. Then new people will try to use it and understand it and start loving it.

I disagree with your idea as bitcoin is not a commodity. So bitcoin promotion can't be done through commercial advertising. This way, people will know the name of the bitcoin but they will not go to the internet to search for this. So the purpose of bitcoin will be defeated.

Secondly, bitcoin is not owned by anyone, so who will create the advertisement and pay to channels to play it? That's a big question. Only a bitcoin related business can do that. But they will again promote their business only without actually promoting the bitcoin. I think it is better to run poster campaign through search engine and at the related websites.

Well there are ads that are there just to get the message across. I've seen a lot of them, and these are ads that are meant to spread a cause. So it really is plausible.

It should have been one of the projects of the Bitcoin Foundation, but seeing it now, I'd say it's not gonna happen in the near future.

I think that if bitcoin would have some commercial it would attract new users and make the price to go higher. Look at Forex, it has commercial and more people know about it than about bitcoin. I think bitcoin beds something similar. Hope we will see some new commercial soon.

If more people know about Bitcoin, that would eventually lead to its wider adoption. It is a big assumption (a really BIG assumption) that more people learning about Bitcoin won't make at least part of them interested in Bitcoin. On the other hand, I certainly agree with folks saying here that companies advertising their Bitcoin services are in fact advertising Bitcoin as well. When in 2013 Conibase had been running a huge advertisement campaign in Internet about their Bitcoin web wallet services many people got attracted to Bitcoin, me included (which eventually brought me here)...

yes a while back i did promote it. i done more then most to spread the word. i overcame every objection and got many to be interested in bitcoin, i done give aways and many things, i helped set up businesses, but reality gave me a reality check. some say it made me cynical. some say it gave me a honest opinion of bitcoin. but in short bitcoin is not ready for mainstream and we need to fix the infrastructure before wasting time speaking to the masses.. otherwise the masses will see the limitations and move on

If it's about "you tell that they can pay without leaving their chair they will do it" then credit card or debit card already there to make it happen for you. You must offer another bitcoin's features to make it advantageous than the other kind of things like a credit card. And I think that bitcoin is lack of promoting or advertisement because it's a currency which the whole system didn't owned by anyone. And I think a currency doesn't need advertisement. Does another currency like dollar, yuan or Euro had ever done an advertisement? I guess no

I think the promoting we are doing is already enough than a paid good commercial, what we are saying to the world is base on the real experience so we are more convincing that a paid commercial.

Did you know gary vaynerchuk a very famous youtube personality and multi millionaire says( I THINK ) that advertising on television is a waste of money. He says that the best advertising will be done through facebook in the future. So if new companies that entered the bitcoin game think that they will benefit by more customers, they should make some facebook advertisements in my opinion.

What do you think that they are not promoting bitcoin in their circle as per my knowledge each and everyone are giving information on bitcoin and its benefit to all their friends and near one but they are not accepting it. So it will take time and one more until bitcoin dont get legal status we cannot see the increase of users and bitcoin getting used due to most of them are scared of the legal problems of using bitcoins

Well,I also think that the best advertisement of BTC is from the people who have actually already adopted it and are using it everyday because they are the people who can explain it the best and that's really important.Yeah,it will be cool to have some ads here and there,but the bigger effect would be from spreading the word and giving presentations and encouraging people to get involved with BTC.

I would much rather see all that funding being dumped into $1 000 000 projects to create that killer APP or GAME that would spark mainstream adoption. The commercial mainstream adverticement channels is too expensive and a waste of time and money. We only need 1 <one> killer/super App to stimulate the mainstream adoption, but I am worried about the scaling and the capacity to handle those kinds of transactions. The huge volumes of transactions needed, would bring the whole network down. ^hmmmmm^

Commercial ads were not necessary for bitcoin to reach lot users. In my view prompting through ads makes it similar to other payment processors. We have to make it grow and reach users through the usage and teaching to people who have interest in learning about advancing technologies.
