Is there a way to get the private keys out of my wallet? I want to literally print out the address+key, rather than have to deal with lossy media (burned dvds literally fall apart after a few years)

If you're using the Bitcoin-qt or bitcoind client, use the dumpprivkey command. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list

Wow! Over 80 thousand reads of this post/thread.  It shows that people really are interested in taking BTC security seriously.  With BTC nearing $100 each, it certainly makes sense to be cautious!

Pretty useful guide.

I am already experienced in using and securing my bitcoins, but I think this would be a great guide for some people I know Smiley
