The Friends of Satoshi + Crypto Imperator Founder Series Coin represents the creation of our organization. As stated from our website, Friends of Satoshi is a collective of content creators dedicated to sharing art, music, and culture. We empower creators of all sizes by helping to monetize their creations. We aim to be a decentralized marketing solution for Open Source software and projects. We accept Proof-of-Content submissions from all around the globe, and are supported by the community through donations and memberships. We compete with the centralized propaganda.
More information about our mission: https://www.friendsofsatoshi.com/about/This coin helps raise funds for 2017 programming. We plan on attending several major Bitcoin conferences and filming with 4K/360 degree equipment to maximize the lifespan of the content. We have already bootstrapped the cost of our equipment, in preparation for our coverage at The North American Bitcoin Conference 2017 in Miami, Florida on January 17-18th, 2017.

#27FAQs:Q:
Is there any transparency to the earnings and distributions? Who have the 0.04BTC distributions gone to so far?A: We have a slack (friendsofsatoshi.slack.com) that anyone can join that details both donations incoming and distributions outgoing. Of course, this is all occurring manually, but we would love to be in a position to automate this (and open-source the code) and integrate it all into the website. The 0.04 is to the earliest of our creators, hopefully you will be familiar with them! Proof Of Beats, Rawlzsec, Crypto Campos, and the Friends of Satoshi in-house creators (0.01 each).
Q:
Will there still be payouts in 20 years??A: As long as Friends of Satoshi is still in existence and receiving earnings, you will receive payouts. Since we are so new, we do not have sufficient contingency plans to handle severe catastrophes, natural disasters, death/transference of ownership, etc. but this will all be decided by the members. Even if we do not receive any donations or grants, stop producing in-house content, and lose all other creators, we can always turn on direct monetization from YouTube to generate revenue on our existing content. We maintain very low overhead too, so it is easy to keep the lights on, so to speak.
Q:
Can you explain what Friends of Satoshi is?A: Hopefully our about page helps a bit, but in short we aim to be a decentralized marketing solution for bitcoin. Unlike PayPal, R3, and many of Bitcoin's competitors, Bitcoin does not have the benefits of a "traditional marketing department". In fact, it essentially has a budget of zero in this area, aside from the funds that r/Bitcoin has to promote Bitcoin. Friends of Satoshi is an attempt to change this, and incentivize/subsidize content creators to produce educational/informational/inspirational content for Bitcoin (and eventually other open source projects). Who exactly is Friends of Satoshi right now? Myself, and a handful of creators.
Q:
How do you monetize the creations / generate revenue?? Are people going to pay for some product videos?? And who is paying for this? Are you paid by the artist/service to market their product?A: Right now, our only monetization is through public donations that average around $1. We also have the ability to 'turn on' Youtube ad monetization, but we have not done so yet for philosophical reasons. We DO NOT accept paid promotional content - i.e. we will never accept a payment for a product review. We do receive media units (free or discounted) for testing, but never with strings attached - i.e. we are free to write a positive/negative review or withhold completely. We are not paid by artists (and as stated above, services) for creating content. Specifically for artists, they have the option to monetize directly (i.e. place a claim on our content) or receive a creator share as stated on
www.friendsofsatoshi.com/about (60%). This is a personal hobby project as a student of marketing and entrepreneurship. It is completely bootstrapped.
Q:
Err.. After the whole debacle with Crypto Imperator and Cyclops accounts, here is another account pushing a new Crypto Imperator line of coins?A: No, this is a Friends of Satoshi coin. It is in collaboration with Crypto Imperator, who graciously helped us create the coin, including the key creation and security so you can trust we won't have access to the keys at any point. Coin design and mintage has been made by CI, and once the coins are ready, by tothemoonsands desire; assembly and key generation, thats the only relationship with Friends Of Satoshi and tothemoonsands. So all accusations to the owner of the thread, are unfunded and unjustified.
As said on the other thread, if you wish to contact me regarding the matter use email.
