Everyone knows price will hit $200. If that will be in 2018 is a big question. And even if it hit $200 in 2018 will you sell at that point or you will hold and hoping it will go $400?   Since after will hit $200 it will correct under $100. It is not like when it hit $200 then it will stay over $200 forever.

Everyone knows price will hit $200. If that will be in 2018 is a big question. And even if it hit $200 in 2018 will you sell at that point or you will hold and hoping it will go $400?   Since after will hit $200 it will correct under $100. It is not like when it hit $200 then it will stay over $200 forever.

Not all of the people was knowing about that and I also one of them. If there are some chance for grow more and why not just for keep them in our storage, but if there isn't a chance for grow and that time is good chance as well.

to be honest i don't see that big a rise for Monero in only one year. although we may never know.

monero is offering some pretty good features and have been keeping its price up even with all the dumps and all the price drops that is happening in other altcoins these days.
and also recently it had a very good rise which stayed up.

but i don't see any more adoption coming to monero more than what it currently has. if that changes, we can expect better prices soon. but i am still not convinced about $200!

I do not think the Monero price will be more than bitcoin.

Monero seems to be the next altcoin to be pumped by the whales. ETH and Zcash keep going down but the anon coins keep staying strong despite Bitcoin having sharp price increase. 20 dollars is a decent short term target for Monero if hot money from Bitcoin rushes in.

Even if Monero rises 5x against Bitcoin and Bitcoin doubles against Dollar, it would be super great. But that takes time.

Every time Monero rises, some guys dream for the stars. The rest of the time, while the team works hard, people either bash it and call it scam, either just ignore it.

Monero can have a great future, but people could be more supportive in a more constant way..

1 year is a very long time for speculation about price of anything in general and it becomes harder when you want to speculate about an altcoin.
i agree that monero is a good altcoin and has lots of potential and there was actually some adoption for this coin, also you should remember that monero was not created yesterday

it actually was around for a rather long time and it has not succeeded in anything so far, which makes me disagree with a $200 which is about a 1900% rise

When you will see biggest winners in 2016 you will be surprised and realise 1900% growth easily happen in crypto when there is Bull market as it was in 2016.    If you look GAME https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_game it grow way more then just 20 times in 2 years from from jan 2015 to now.  Way way way more. 300 times.

Monero will never be close to Bitcoin price wise, but I can see it being #2-3 at this rate. I think ETH is way over priced and Ripple is a joke price wise. Litecoin will always be priced well due to China liking it and it has good liquidity. Glad a legit coin is rising and not some pre-mined crap....

there are two big things different here. 1) the price 2) the volume.

for example going from 1 satoshi to 2 satoshi is 100% rise and it is easy but going from $10 to $20 (100% rise) is not at all easy. and it needs much more work.

also the volume is a great factor. some coins can easily be bought or sold to increase or decrease their price respectively with less than 1BTC and some other need 100s of bitcoin to do the same.

so you can't just compare them like this. and just FYI XMR volume was 13119BTC today so far.

I think it is necessary that the price manipulator in the Monero markets will stop putting downward pressure on the price. Each time he has defeated the price breaks up.

I don't have hope for that it will hit $200 in 2018 but if bitcoin gain big price around $10,000 than it can be possible for Monero. Otherwise I will remain this range where it's right now.

I think the privacy concerns with big exchanges like Coinbase,  it will lead more people to Monero. Also, once Monero start to get accepted in more places besides the dark web, I think it could rival bitcoin.
