I have just completed the "Migration"

i found this video super helpful from one of the AE team members, you can search you tube "Base aepp and MetaMask AE Token Migration Guide"

This method involved using MEW. (My Ether Wallet)

i FIRST sent coins from exchange (BInance) to MEW.

its VITAL you send to MEW first.  DO NOT send AE to the vault thingy. Its done via MEW.

PS: As user above asks.  How long will our new Tokens be "locked away" for?

i would guess only for a short while it takes Binance to add new token.

Can someone help me with below issue?
I've made a airgap account linked to AE account. Now I would like to start sending AE from MEW to the airgap vault.
I want to send 95 AE to test with. I go through all steps and get to the transaction page on MEW to which i was automatically redirected.
I don't adjust any data an press the generate transaction button. Afterwards send transaction and I get below error.

Insufficient funds. The account you tried to send transaction from does not have enough funds. Required 12300000000000000 and got: 0.

Anyone got an idea how to solve?

You need to have some ETH on the address that you are sending AE from (for gas fees). I would suggest sending 5 USD worth of ETH.

Ofcourse being part of this great project and it's mainnet is also good but I was just wondering if there are some extra benefits for the early supporters.

In the phase-0 will be added messages (ico 2017) to the genesis block. It is more than a money benefits.

Which token they are support it is mainnet or ERC 20 at the moment they start migrating to their own blockchain. Although this is good news and it will make easy to buy/sell this token with comfort.

Here is what I replied to this same question in Reddit:

More than 68 million AE have been migrated to the Mainnet already. The Mainnet will launch with State Channels, making it the only blockchain out there that supports this technological feature. Anyone willing to test it or develop applications that implement it, will need migrated AE (on the Mainnet). There are also other unique features which will only be accessible with Mainnet AE like oracles, running Sophia smart contracts, and 3 sec confirmations thanks to Bitcoin NG. One will be able to test all this only with Mainnet AE. Finally, if you migrate now, your AE will be part of the Genesis Block. All subsequent migrations will require hard forks.

However, yes, you can keep your AE in MEW and participate in one of the next Phases of migration.

You will see your new AE tokens after the successful launch of Mainnet by then tokens will be locked. You need to understand new tokens will come into existence with the very first block that is called genesis block. Anyway market condition is not good to better wait. One immediate benefit is you will be among first those receive new tokens.

There is very helpful tutorial to see it works it is worth to follow these steps to make it migrate to the mainnet. I hope this will explain you how it will be look on the mainnet once this process will get completed.
