Since I am holder of aeternity I will also give my feedback on mining highly centralization at this moment. I fully agree with that person who raised this question and all this happened because of doing things in hurry. When mainnet was not launched months why there was hurry to take few people on the board while others letting behind. If it was made clear that mainnet will be launched upon completion of phase 0, I am sure more and more people were coming to become part of it. This made me disappoint and I must share my feeling.

Don't bother.....there are 6 miners mining 95% of all blocks and the development teams responce is basically "it's open source.....write your own miner". Obviously a few did and that miner is absolutely dominating the chain. I am a bit disappointed in current "decentralization".....I hope it is taken seriously.
Hey, we completely understand everyone's frustration with the current situation. It usually takes months for mining power to decentralize. We have forwarded all concerns that the community has expressed to the dev team. Here is what I can tell you currently: 1. A windows miner is being prepared. 2. Nodes are being worked on to become stratum-ready (a step towards pools). 3. The blockchain explorer is almost ready. 4. Miner optimization is considered. Cuckoo cycle is different than other mining algos and significant optimizations are harder to achieve. The team is deliberating on what can be done. Also, I know that the focus of the dev team will now be on making the software more accessible/clear to users. That's all for now. Best, Vlad Pools are necessary for a mineable coin. Now mining AE is only the whales' dinner.

In fact, the Aeternity devs have made premine for themselves.

We announced a bounty of 20,000 CHF for an open-source pool, but no one participated. Now the non-open source pools, which have a large economic incentive to organize those, are entering the game. Best, Vlad

Thank you for sharing this. There were a number of reasons why it was not announced earlier. Most of them are security related. If one has followed the Pivotal Tracker, it should have been clear that the live Release is coming. We don'd distinguish between anyone and we are not giving preference to anyone. There were miners on the Testnet that were prepared and currently those are the ones that reap the largest benefits. They took the time to follow developements and the money to buy the equipment and set it up. Once closed-source pools join the network, the playing field will be leveled. Mining is a competitive process. Best, Vlad

Best, Vlad The only problem is by the time some closed-source pools arrive it might be too late because they would have mined 1000s of AE which they will later dump in the market.

Well, if it was 20 miners getting the AE or 5, their actions could always be the same - dumping or holding. There is no way of predicting what one miner or 20 miners will do. Best, Vlad

You can have a look at some stats in this community-prepared explorer. There is currently a market only for ERC20 AE tokens. Best, Vlad

IMPORTANT NEWSWe’ve noticed that there is a number of nodes that do not expose any ports for incoming connections. When using basic setup, please check that - epoch.yaml config does not include ‘external_port’ parameter under ‘sync’ section (should only be used for advanced network topology)
port defined in ‘port’ parameter under ‘sync’ section is set to 3015 [/li]
your firewall or router is configured to have port 3015 open for incoming connections[/li]
See blog post for details. Best, Vlad

There are a lot of concerns about ongoing mining which is not fair structure where only few people taking advantage of early move to mainnet. If there will be acceptable solution for this issue than it won't harm the growth of this token and it will keep moving with same support.
