Don't really think it will hit $2k. It will rise steadily throughout 2017 but doubling its current value in USD seems unlikely. I would say it would be hovering around at $1.4k-$1.6k.

If some one told me last year that bitcoin would hit over 1k within a year I wouldn't have believed it. So 2k within a year timeframe I think it's possible.

2K is a very serious possibility.

Look at what happens with previous halving. Price went from being stable in the 10$ order of magnitude to being stable in the 100$ order of magnitude. It's a very general way of talking about the high volatility price of bitcoin but you get the idea.
So if btc price takes an order of magnitude every halving and follow a logarithmic explosion, as it seems to be, this means that by the end of the year we should have a stable price in the 1000$ order of magnitude to 2K is definitely a possibility and a serious one. Of course all I just said is just a mere observation based on all the examples that we have, but we have so few! It has no statistical meaning in itself so that's not far from being a guess but it will be my guess ^^

I actually believe it might. Wouldn't bet a lot on it, but I do think that there are some possible scenarios that might push the price to $2000.

Do you really think bitcoin will reach 10k dollar anytime soon, I think we first see a dump to around 500 dollar and than see an upwards trend to 2000 dollar at most. even 200$ is also hard to reach in early future. it must take another halving.

My target is $30 in half a year

Of course most probably even if it reaches that level I'll not have anything left, because I am too emotional trader, but based on previous bubbles this looks like a good target.

In the mean time it is very path dependent and who knows what can happen next - some other coin could surpass bitcoin, there can be some bug still hiding in the protocol or China could ban BTC for real. I cannot assign any probability to that prediction.

No. I think it will be a fantastic achievement if we manage to settle above the $1000 level by that time. Everything the price manages to reach after that, will be seen as a welcome bonus. We can't realistically ask for more than that even though I know it would be nice for everyone. Sustainable growth is what I strive for this year. Current volatility may look like a lot, which it also is, but the most important thing is growth that we realize in the long term. $1000-$1250 is a decent enough range for me.

2,000 USD dollars is a big joke it can't be hit on the speculation of $1,500 Dollars it might be fall from the bottom investors bee ready for the big down comming it always happen when bitcoin hit big price every December it always down to next month or next next month. After seeing your another topic on parabolic pattern on bitcoin price movements, I too agree with speculations of 10k price levels within this year. I am just waiting for new economic policies from new US government after that the real rally will begin.

It is a very difficult possibility that we can say in the falling line and I do not think that it will come up to this level more and more. If I can catch a return to the end of 2017. But I can say that the situation at the moment is completely different. My wish is not to fall more than I can spend a troubled year if I stay.

Yes we will probably stay at 800 zone for a while, then again, the question is if it will hit 2k in the next bubble, my guess is yes, we will probably see 2k this year. The correction is being a controlled one. The big red candle may seem a like big deal but if you step out and take a look at the whole picture, you'll see how the trend is still up and the bubble is already being priced in, we are returning to the mean, we may see a dip, then we will continue "smooth" sailing (in bitcoin terms) all the way up to the next bubble which will hit 2k+.

I don't see any 'scheduled' events that would make this happen (ie halving). And I'm sure simply pumping it requires coordination from many whales.
So no, I don't see it happening.

My guess is with this range too.  Even people who are seriously involved in Bitcoin and other professional traders have insight that Bitcoin will be around $1500 after 2017.  They might probably wrong as for no one can predict precisely but their reason and analysis is something we can at least listen to.

2000$, 3200$ or 500$, all have quite similar chance to happen.
If it's going to be "only" 1200$ it's already more than OK. Don't be greedy, let it grow without big bubbles, then more will buy and at the end, it'll grow much higher.
