A system that allows you to earn money by renting a certain area of the HDD. It reminded me of the kairos system first. Kairos is a ponzi system. The Kairos system should be avoided.

Do you have any money with this system? Payments are made as bitcoins. But I did not find any information on the payment plan. How long should your computer stay open? How much does the HDD cost?

I want help from friends who have information.

In shortly this system let you rent out your HDD, and receive altcoin called Storjcoin X. It is not very smart to do something with this system, because you do not know who will use your HDD ( computer safety from viruses ) and Starjcoin X altcoin is not very popular - it is 33th place in a whole altcoin market - https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/storjcoin-x/. How can you change Starjcoin X to Bitcoin, it is not included in instant exchangers.

I don't use it because I'm afraid that I will have data loss when a "miner" decides that this is not profitable anymore and shuts his node down. I'll just stick with the big boys, google drive and other similar offerings.

I don't see any public calculator for Storej online. It would help a lot to know how much would you make so maybe more people will get into it, but from past experience HDD mining was never profitable and I don't see it profitable in close future until HDD prices don't drop a bit more

I would never do it. Only for the simple fact that, at least in my mind, I could be helping store some pretty unsavory things. Yes, it is encrypted, but just like everything else, just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there.

A system that allows you to earn money by renting a certain area of the HDD.

Minebox, a commercial hardware Dapp built on top of Siacoin, automatically rents out your unused local disk space to other users for their storage needs generating money for you.

I have read about the plan but about the compensation plan I don't think it's interesting,I haven't seen someone using this system that made a good profit out of it,I still consider Burst coin as the best coin wen it comes to hard drive algos.

would like to see a full comparison with sia. Both sound interesting but according to some known experts here they can't work.
