So does anyone know what the deal is with this iProNetwork thing? Someone told me about it who bought in, but it works as a referral system that sounds a lot like a pyramid scheme. They claim to still be selling PROC at the ICO price of .04 cents.

https://twitter.com/IPNCrypto?lang=en

I also noticed that the Twitter that seemingly belongs to the devs is called Legacy PROC, and hasn't Tweeted since early May, about the time of the last dev post in this thread. One of the tweets made mention of PROC and IPN (iProNetwork) being in launch phase.

https://twitter.com/365MSI?lang=en

This is the form to fill out in order to subscribe and buy PROC via check that I was given by the referrer:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EvRpFf8_ypNAb8XS_A1Tf498A818eoup5MceszG_spE/edit?usp=sharing

That they ask for things like SSN is pretty alarming. One can also register directly on their website.

The dev also confirmed a link to IPN here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1747896.msg17827916;topicseen#msg17827916

The only webpages I have seen about this are clearly sponsored ads, including my favorite, https://ipronetworkscam.com/ , which purports to tell you the truth about IPN but then launches into a sales pitch complete with charts for buy in levels and rewards.

So...anyone know what's going on with all this?

And as I understand it, Carlos Contreras is the son of Armando Contreras, which would mean there is more than a "professional" relationship with iPRO Network. I like the idea and I like the technology. It is a bit of MLM, but it's multifaceted from what I can tell. The MLM portion is to help push and get the coin recognized. It's the vehicle to help get wide coverage on it. The MLM (iPRO network) has rewards that come in the form of coins, but also commission as you build out your network. Then there is the reward platform for retailers and consumers that will in a lot of way act like ebates, but you'll have coins. If done right, it could kill ebates. If done wrong, it could go no where.

They claim Uber and Airbnb are going to accept the coin. I've only heard that, but can't confirm it. It was told to me, by someone that claimed they talked directly to the team and the attorney. I sort of question it, because while they use Uber and Airbnb as analogies for their system, they don't specifically make the claim. I wonder if somehow the Uber and the Airbnb took on a life of it's own such as stories do on the internet.

I'm wondering too - because I am considering buying some coins, but I also have some concerns. Little red flags that pop up. The technology and the idea is good in my opinion. But where I come up short is I know nothing about the team and I have to believe in the team too. There's also very little information about iPronetwork. There also seems to be multiple addresses and multiple companies that seem to be intertwined here, which I can't find much information either - So I'm having a hard time knowing who is who, who the players are, what the company structure is. The whois info domain is masked. It also looks like Patriarch was in on two other cryptocurrencies as listed above. It almost seems like it's all marketing and there has been no update in sometime on this forum, their facebook or their twitter account.

The iPro network - different story - their twitter account has updates. But again hardly anything from the ones doing the coins. I've been told they are indeed separate companies/entities from iPRO network. At least on paper.

Now I guess they do have a launch party happening in California July 7. I've also been told that over 27,000 people have signed up for this iPRO network pushing the coin to help recognition of it. I also know of a few people that have gotten direct compensation for people that they have signed up and not just a little money - good size checks. They signed up numerous people who all bought coin. They are true believers that this is going all the way and from the few I talk to... are believers in decentralized currency. Libertarians. A few of them that own their own companies told me that they too will be accepting this coin.

But again, no direct interaction with the team of ProCurrency - Only second hand information.

Too many people focus the MLM part. The MLM part of the project is the weakest aspect of the system, in my opinion. The apps will carry the project to the world in the end; the apps alone will drive hundreds of thousands of users to the exchanges/commerce features for sure (without drawing on the MLM aspect). ProRewards, e-commerce training (e.g., the blueprint is a standalone hidden goldmine with its arbitrage play--the arbitrage play alone could make a hardworking online entrepreneur more money than the rest of the entire MLM system), iMall, eMarketplace, and various exchanges are the most powerful aspects of the system, I believe. I plan to pay people (at meetups, community groups, etcetera) to download the free shopping app because of the basic real savings it can bring to families.

I read the whitepaper on was involved with the initial coin offering.  I understand why they are going the MLM route even though it is unpopular.  The MLM route gets the attention of people that would not have even looked at it or cryptocurrency.  (Probably the only way they could meet their goals for the end of 2018.)  If they can convert the "common person" into crypto, then it will be great for them and crypto.  I am going to sit back and watch and see where this goes over the next year.

Will be interesting to see what this coin does.  It is an MLM.  I personally won't touch it for that reason.  I don't think the mainstream crypto community will either, but it does catch a niche - the MLM community and their friends and family.  So, who knows.  I guess in time we will see.

I agree 100% percent... it's just a marketing strategy, which is the main reason why this coin is going places, Uber would never be what it is today if there had not used the sharing economy strategy of having consumers inventing their friends and getting a free ride.. and drivers getting paid handsomely for recruiting other drivers.. they simply killed the taxi industry because they had a good product and a solid strategy.. I'm not a fan of mlm at all but when the power of word of mouth is matched with a solid product, there is no stopping. It doesn't matter what people's options are amount mlm, money has no feelings and strategies like this are proven to work.. I'm glad I got a lot of this coin at .02 cents and feel bad for he haters as they simply don't understand business. Let's circle back to this a year from now and see Smiley

Hey, I'm having an issue with my wallet (Windows 10).  It seemed to lock up on me.  I created a backup and have deleted and reinstalled the wallet but it seems to be stuck on block 42906 (for 4 days now).  Does anyone else have this issue or know what to do so I can resolve it?  I have several thousand PROC sitting in the stupid thing and now they don't show up and I'm getting frustrated.

What is the scam?  The coin or having it being marketed through an MLM?  Their business practices?  Or what?  Can you please be more specific on what you mean so I can understand.
Thank you.

P.S. -- Sorry Tupacalyps wish I could assist.  I'm running on windows 7 and its working great and fast for me.  I have two other alt coins on my computer and their wallets go so slow.

This scam wont even reach bittrex hahaha just saying

I invested in the ico and sold coins on the exchange and got back all my original investment  (Which I now put into Ether and am happy by that return as well.)  Now I am sitting with a good size amount of Pro Currency in my wallet that are earning more coins.  Again I as what is the scam?  Are you trying to say the coin is the scam, the way they are choosing to get people involved, or what?  Please I would really like to know why people think its a scam so I can be aware and make smart choices.
