It's called frauding and It's the reason that over the years there are more and more restrictions/verifications to be able to use those type of services in peace. Yes, and those restrictions/verifications shouldn't bother you if you are really using these services for legitimate uses, such as remittance, salary and such. I wouldn't be surprised if your fake accounts that you're trying to sell will not work or just a period of time, resulting in losing money for those buying this kind of fraud.
The accounts should be valid until end of September 2018, and after they are almost guaranteed to be blocked, because the CRS/AEoI report will say no such person exists. If a potential buyer transfers huge transactions or something like that, they might disable the account before that due to KYC/AML laws, but that is not my problem, just stupidity from the buyer. For normal transactions there is no reason to block these accounts, since they are for now and until October 2018 still completely valid and legitimate.

It can bother people even those who are using those services for legitimate uses. As I said, It was less strict before and over the years they add verifications of all kind, up to take selfie or video call and so on. They don't invent new rules/laws for fun. They do because of abuses/misuses/frauds. And some are not able to meet their requirements. I can give you an example. There is a service that I was using and all working fine and then a day they decided to add a new verification stuff. Need to send again ID card. And I can't, I have an ID card, of course, the card is valid but the date is expired, our gov. made some changes while back about it, so a lot of us have an ID card considered valid by the gov but the cards are showing an expired date. Hard to explain this to foreign companies, some countries accept and some not. In some countries, you can be fired back to your country for an illegal situation, like a refugee! You can say: So what, get a new card. Yes, the problem is the gov doesn't want to provide us a new card as the old is still valid, so there is no need for their point of view. The only solution is going to the police and lie to them telling you got robbed and inventing a fake story, which no one, including myself, want to do. It's just an example but I can give other examples as well. So you see, people with legitimate uses can be affected for all this

What country? I doubt this is the case in any country, maybe you're right about some shithole like Haiti though...

Not necessary, I am a European citizen Every country can make this type of change, for example when they are introducing a totally new card design, or implementing a new security on it, for whatever reason they have.

If it's an European country, then I doubt the old cards are considered valid by the government, especially if it's an EU country, as they need to follow strict rules and regulations regarding personal identification, and are by law required to issue you new cards and not turn a blind eye to it as you suggested.

Very useful ! Just listened to the the Globcoin guys at a crypto forum . The Globcoin card does provide personal IBAN in Euro and shared IBAN in sterling , dollar , swiss franc ,zpolish zloty. They are launching a crypto currency Globcoin linked to a portfolio of national currencies ; may be on the card one day ??
Yes that's the plan (disclaimer I work for GLOBCOIN ;-) and you can check out the first tokenized basket of fiat currencies here https://archive-ouverte.unige.ch/unige:97657 presented at a recent ITU fiat digital currency conference.

This sounded like great news until I arrived at the bottom of the announcement: Globitex group is holding a token sale to fund the scaling of its existing exchange infrastructure into a commodities spot and derivatives exchange for bitcoin. The GBX utility token will be issued on the Ethereum blockchain. Why do they have to finance their project using a token sale? After all these scam ICOs and vaporware ICOs I´m extremely pessimistic about the chances of success of Globitex. Nonetheless, they will probably raise a huge amount of money, because of their e-money license, which puts them a tier above most other current ICOs.

Apparently N26 is shutting me down because I requested a transfer from kraken.
I have no other explanation because I didn't use the account in the last month and the day after I requested the transfer from kraken I received this:
Due to usage contrary to the contractual agreement, in accordance with § 19.3 of the N26 Bank terms and conditions, we will terminate your account XXXXXXXXXX with extraordinary notice on XX.12.2017
Concurrently we will terminate your access to the N26 app.
Further usage of the account, as well as the card issued with it, will not be possible after this date. Attempts to deposit funds to your account after the end of this period will be declined and sent back to the sender. .
Please transfer any remaining balance to another bank account or withdraw funds before the date of termination. If a residual balance remains in the account upon closure, it will be transferred to a holding account and will be made available to you upon request.
Best regards N26 Bank GmbH

I would have expected that N26 would be more welcoming to a new technology like Bitcoin. Could you quote the § 19.3 of the N26 terms? I looked into the terms at the following website, but I couldn´t even find this clause: https://docs.n26.com/legal/small/en/account-terms-and-conditions-latest.pdfMaybe the real reason wasn´t the transfer from Kraken, but simply that your account was pretty inactive aside from receiving the Kraken transfer. And you incur certain costs for N26 if you don´t really use your account, because they have to pay partners like Mastercard irrespective of your actual usage.

I have opened an account with ferratumbank.com. So far it seems free, perhaps they should be on the list too? I have yet to use the account but I'd like to ask them first if they'd be ok with BTC related transactions.
