MisterTango will introduce a 1% fee based on the account balance from 17 Dec.

"Fee equals to 1% annual interest rate and applied on client’s any balance amount. The fee will be automatically calculated and accumulated on daily basis, and charged on the last day of current month."
Where did you got this information? I didn't got email message from Mistertango, I also don't see this announcement on my account.
While traditional banks are paying interest (tiny, but still), Mistertango decide to charge customers who hold money there. In my opinion, they already have too big fees - €5 to enable crypto deposits/withdrawals, 0.0025 BTC deposit/withdrawal fee. Personally, I think it's time to switch to Revolut or N26.

https://mistertango.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/16000086281-balance-fee

Seems like this is only for those that had signed up for the paid Personal+ and Business+ subscriptions... and NOT for free accounts. See: https://d168plm0n1qvjk.cloudfront.net/en/wp-content/uploads/MT_pricing__.pdf

Why can't they just raise the subscription fee? This just makes their paid plans even less appealing.
Kinda reminds me of:

The above PDF appears to be in par with their latest changes in fees. As for exchange tranfers only being available to paid accounts, I think it has to do with this. It says that they encourage to use a '+' account for exchange transfers but it doesn't say that you must.

Hello,
Leupay terminated accounts of owners residing in Israel and I'm looking for an alternative, meaning a Euro bank account that is as full as possible with a credit card in Euro, that I as an Israeli resident can open online.
Any options available?
Thank you.

Guys, question. I have an Airbnb in Argentina. Opened an N26 amount a few days ago.
I want to do the following:
1) Send my Airbnb payouts in EURO to N26
2) Send the EUROS from N26 to Bitsamp.
3) Sell bitcoin for USD in Arg to pay the bills of my airbnb (I will HODL too!!!!)

Do you know if step 2 will work?

N26  has a double standard, it can terminate your account suddenly like it can do nothing. If you can afford to lose some time you may give it a try. But I would rather use a service I am sure will be ok and doesn't terminate my account out of anywhere with no warnings.
And it's a problem with E.M.I.s you always have a risk that suddenly a law/regulation/TOS come out of the hat, making your account useless

It has always worked for me without any issues for Coinbase PRO, Bitstamp, Kraken and The Rock Trading. Can't speak for the reports other have been posting.

Hi all, i just found this:

https://www.streber.org/list-of-offshore-banks/list-emi-digital-banks/

I think it's useful but I did not have the time to try all of them at the moment.

At the moment i use Mistertango but I am not happy with the fix monthly fee (I had no problem with their variable fees last year....)

I also used Leopay but they closed the bank account (so much for Malta being the land of crypto...)

Hope it helps

Good list:
Paymix does not support crypto yet.
N26 uses Transferwise so in theory they will not support crypto.
But I guess for small amounts they could just let it slip through from time to time maybe.

People have been using N26 long before the partnership with TransferWise. Do you see the irony? TransferWise is not accepting crypto transactions, but N26 (using TtransferWise) does. Small or large amounts are not so important and to define a large amount is subjective.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that n26 uses transferwise as an option internally for cross-currency transfers (for example, EUR to UK). My experience for the last couple of months at least has been that I was unable to use that feature though, getting an error every time I tried. Support staff told me that there was an internal issue they were waiting to be fixed. Instead I was directed to create an account on transferwise.com to actually use transferwise rates.

I don't see how that affects BTC-related transfers. At least it doesn't seem to do so directly.

Maybe it is a good thing for the greater good. Later, they may offer cards not only for EEA but also for all Europe or maybe global.

Mistertango was a wild ride. Good while it lasted but obviously struggled to find a sustainable model with its corporate identity. Perhaps they would have done better if they had secured sufficient funding to test the feasibility of their free option in the long term. Now, without a debit card, I don't see any advantages to their product when compared to any other alternative.

I wonder if there's any backstory with their card provider though. The change seems very abrupt and they were giving the impression they had a reliable partnership. This certainly does not not look like a good sign for the future of Mistertango.

For what it's worth, I had an order for a new card confirmed about a week ago... And I mean, I might not like Mistertango that much, but I really don't believe they'd dupe me for 10 EUR if they had prior notice of the card provider stopping to provide services to them. And they only gave a 5 days notice!

shortly means 3 months or a year. we'd better move. Too bad, not any of them is stable enough to be sure to be used for a long run.
The good news (for me) is I tried my luck with a local neo bank and Kraken, it's working smoothly. Banks the Winners! So, I suppose my problem is fixed once for good (at least I hope)

I think I'll try migrating to https://www.ferratumbank.com this time. Why isn't it on the list yet?

For me, using neobanks is a great utility because it saves money when you receive international payments. Banks in Greece where I am all have versatile web-services and great support but their fees aren't very competitive. With local banks I would have to pay 3 or 4 EUR for outgoing/incoming transfers out of other countries, and exchange on a huge and unfavorable spread whenever another currency would be sent to me, on top also of a % with a minimum of 5 EUR exchange fee.

So overall, if someone pays in currency other than EUR it'd be 4 EUR flat for incoming transfer from other country + exchange on spread of >=2% + 1% exchange fee out of total or 5 EUR whichever is greater. Crazy.

Ferratum bank doesn't seem to have good reviews:

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ferratumbank.com

Not very good times lately with Leopay and Mistertango facing difficulties.
Well, 16 reviews on trustpilot.com don't seem like a good sample to draw conclusions from... The group behind this bank is a listed company in the Frankfurt stock exchange. I'd be more inclined to trust them than most neobanks, especially after placing my trust with Mistertango and Leupay.

Ferratum cards have a high limit if I remember, something with a 4 digits numbers. The only thing stopped me to look at Ferratum is their accounts with different Interest rates, and loans, making me think about banks, and since it wasn't what I was looking for...
Other than that, it's for citizens of the Eurozone. (Its parent company https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferratum)

I don't know how many clients it has but 16 reviews whatever positives or negatives is nothing compared to the low amount it surely has (compared with the leader). If 80 negative reviews were posted on Trustpilot it could be another case.

Does anyone have any solutions or methods for those of us who live in Asia?

I've read that Mr Tango is probably the best way to get your BTC to fiat, but it can only be transferred to a SEPA account.

I'm wondering if this method would work.

Mr Tango BTC converted to Fiat
Send fiat  from Mr Tango via SEPA to Transferwise
Transferwise send via SWIFT to bank account in Malaysia

I know Transferwise isn't crypto friendly but are they ok with receiving funds from Mister Tango?

Technically it shall work fine. I don't see any problem from MisterTango or TransferWise side. it's a SEPA to SEPA transfer and more important from accounts owned by the same person. But it would be better to ask to Transferwife directly they're fast to provide support. When I had a question I used its chat and got someone within seconds.
