Augmentors is launching at Comic Con Africa! Community update, 13 July 2018.
Hey guys!

We’re so excited to let you know that we’re going to be at Comic Con Africa in September! It’s the first time Comic Con has come to Africa so it’s also the perfect place to soft-launch our game, don’t you think? Check out all the details below.

COMIC CON AFRICA

From the 14th to the 16th of September, the team behind the Augmentors Game will be at Comic Con Africa, transporting all our visitors to a new realm of mobile gaming.

Visitors will be able to download the game straight from the exhibition booth, as well as from the respective app stores. There will be ongoing battle competitions for those who want to play the game at the booth, with some epic Augmentors swag up for grabs for those who dominate their opponents.


We’ll also be running a number of competitions to giveaway tickets to attend Comic Con Africa (even for Saturday which is already sold-out!). So you’ll need to stay tuned to Discord and Twitter for details on these.

Comic Con Africa is the best place to soft-launch Augmentors, so from the middle of September, Augmentors will be live! While we’ll be soft-launching in South Africa first, and then select countries a few weeks later, you, our awesome community, will be able to play wherever you are in the world! So hold on tight, in just a few weeks you’ll be able to get a sneak peak during Alpha and then in a few short months you’ll be able to get lost in the Bello Realm.

ALPHA IS COMING IN LESS THAN 20 DAYS!

Alpha is just around the corner and we’ll be battling in just less than 20 days. For those who haven’t yet, make sure you sign up and get ready to battle from August 1st.

Alpha will run from August 1st to August 7th, we’ll have a post on all the details on Alpha in our Community Update on the 27th of July — so make sure you keep an eye on our channels for all the juicy details!

NEW CREATURE REVEALS

The 5 new creatures that will be available in Alpha are being revealed on Discord in a throwback game of #CreatureHangman! The second new creature, Hydrastia (below), was revealed last week after our community correctly guessed her name. Hydrastia, sorceress from the depths of the Wetlands, came to the aid of the Augmentors once she learnt of Rhule’s return. Her main source of strength comes from her coral reef scepter, allowing her to summon some of the most unique water spells the Bello Realm has ever known.

Interesting approach. Usually games dont have soft launch announced before game is tested with wider number of players. Lets hope after Alpha release, everything will be fine and no bigger changes will be needed.  Mid September is perfect for a release.  I guess we will have fun few upcoming months.

UPDATE: Testing is going well, lots of fantastic feedback being given. I wanted to post some screenshots here for those who only come here to find news about game.

This is a stunning old castle in Bonnie Scotland Here we see Markik and  Ki in action.



A little about the screen.  Starting from top left and working clockwise.

1- Gold round symbol is your player profile icon.
2 - your name and country flag (fixed in new update as it was only showing SA before)
3 - Red health (316) Blue Mana points (needed to cast spells, bottom right)
4- Shield power
5 Timer (below timer setting and AR) never used these yet.
6- other players stats and showing what card / spell is used "Water Bomb".

Bottom right we have the spells, your cards and it also shows what card it next.
If you hold the card on screen it pops up in middle of screen to give you the stats, EG: how much Attack or Defense it has.

8 - 4 cards at any one time, plus the 5th "next card" showing.
9- Bottom left, your Relics! Use and choose these wisely. You get 2 to select for your creature.

Cards / spells need mana to use, 10 is the maximum mana you can get, so a lot of strategy has to go into when to use the card types.
