There is now also a Bitcoin ATM in Amsterdam at Hofje van Wijs:

How can we tag these, so that they will show up on Coinmap?

Probably the same way as you would with your brick and mortar shop.

What kind of machine is it? Does it give off euro or only bitcoins?

I've just opened a ticket for the second case.

It takes cashpaper, and gives bitcoins back. So no metal coins and no Credit Card, payment cards.

This machine is from BTC-O-Matic

It's the "dualfly":
http://btc-o-matic.com/

OpenStreetMap data:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2814633096

Oh, I see you edited it to

"
amenity    atm
cash_in    yes
currency:XBT    yes
name    Chaumy
name:nl    Hofje van Wijs
operator    BTC-O-Matic
payment:bitcoin    yes"

Why not?
"currency:BTC    yes"

At the moment it only gives Bitcoin, not Litecoin or altcoin.

We will welcome the machine this coming wednesday during the Dutch Ethereum & Bitcoin Meetup at Berlage Meet & Workspace (part of old Amsterdam Stock Exchange Beurs van berlage)

It's sounds so official, with welcoming the machine, but the fact is first ChaumyATM is in Amsterdam and working.

I have one more of this ATM (exactly this some), already in Bussum, if any one is interested to buy it, just contact me.

Fixed:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2814633096

Unfortunately issue #59 has to be fixed for having your ATM in CoinMap.

Why not?
"currency:BTC    yes"
Because BTC is not ISO 4217 compliant:

Awesome, an easy way to check Bitcoin businesses and where they are, including ones near you - I like it! It should help Bitcoin businesses and those who want to spend their Bitcoin to help the Bitcoin economy alike.

Just to say I really like your project and I am coding up a version for Peercoin so they can list their businesses.

I am running my own version here for testing and development http://coinmap.peercointalk.org/ and pleased to see I could get it all set up and working, I have forked your repo Stick so that I can send you a pull request should you like what I do when adding Peercoin, but I am happy to keep my version separate for bitcoin and Peercoin as you were talking about removing the LTC version as no donations etc and adding everyones coins would just make the map very messy.

But just wanted to give you a heads up the Peercoin community loves your project and we are developing this further Smiley

progress can be watch here http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=2724.0
on our github repo https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/coinmap
donations can be made through peer4commit - http://peer4commit.com/projects/84

keep up the great work and loved checking out the businesses in my local area Smiley need more!!

Thanks for this great tool.
I tried (yesterday) to add on Coinmap a new restaurant accepting Bitcoins in Paris, France : "Le Picotin".
35 rue Sibuet 75012 Paris
This restaurant is shown on openstreetmap, with the tag  payment:bitcon=yes (BTW this restaurant appears twice on the openstreetmap at 35 rue Sibuet and 41 rue Sibuet !)

But, this restaurant *doesn't* appear on Coinmap... and I don't know why...

http://blog.restaurant-picotin.fr/
http://www.france24.com/fr/20140527-bitcoin-picotin-restaurant-paiement-monnaie-paris-blockchain-addition-monnaie-alternative/
http://www.restaurant-picotin.fr/
https://twitter.com/lePicotin/status/469501887986012160
https://www.facebook.com/LePicotinParis

Can you take a look please? can you fix it?
Merchants and restaurants accepting bitcoins in Paris (and talking about Bitcoin on Twitter, Facebook, news), are very few : I think we must encourage them and make them more visible
Thank you for reading and thank you for your answer.

It should be payment:bitcoin not bitcon. OpenStreetMap is a wiki so you can fix the tag too (removing the wrong entry at 41 rue Sibuet as well).

Thanks. I rectified my mistake 2 hours before... but it's not on the Coinmap yet... perhaps I have to wait a little more to make it show on the map...?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to add a point to the map but for some reason it's not showing. This is the second time that my add did not show, though last time it seemed to mysteriously get fixed. I understand the system takes time (an hour?) to update but why does it either take so long or require some (seemingly random) change?

The point is: Pan's Place near 18.92240/102.44910

Locations here apparently don't have addresses, though I added a fake one on the chance that a lack of one was the problem. Still nothing. Can someone look at it and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Local bitcoiners are trying to get merchants signed on to Bitcoin and addition to the world map is one of our major selling points.

Thank for the help,
Kalon

Fixed. Someone added a broken relation to OpenStreetMap and the update script choked on that.
