You can find the latest announcements and information through the blog and newsletters. There is also a Slack workspace, but new people are currently unable to join for some reason. The team is working on a solution. In the meantime you can always send me a private message containing your email address, this way I can send you an invite.

As for the progress, some of the highest priority items currently being worked on:

• TokenNet which allows BOScoin to be traded. Should be released in the next few weeks.
• Web wallets.
• Two-factor authentication.
• Public testing phase based on transactions.
• Revamped website with a new branding, as well as a new discussion forum to assist with more specific and event/product focused items such as developer reviews, design feedback, trust contract proposals discussions, etc.

Next to that, community driven tools are being developed as well, such as a rewards calculator.

Along with the TokenNet release, BOScoin will also be listed onto various exchanges, but no names have been announced yet.

Anyone can become a congress member if the following conditions are met:

• Freeze at least 4 BOS units (1 frozen unit is 10,000 BOS)
• Run a fully synchronized node at stable network speeds
• Participate in voting

It will be possible to become a congress member once the main net is launched and the Nebula milestone has been achieved in 2018. This milestone includes, among others, the final congress network including proposals and voting, and the self-evolving governance system.

Once the main net is launched in the beginning of 2018 you can start running a node and earn rewards, but you will have to wait for the Nebula milestone till later in 2018 to participate in voting.

What are the technical requirements for launching?

Do you mean the technical requirements for running a node? Your laptop or desktop could suffice, even a Raspberry Pi could do. No official technical requirements have been announced yet though.

If you mean the technical requirements for launching the main net: nodes and quorum networks, trust contracts, mFBA consensus protocol written in D language, etc. For more detailed information on the technical aspect, I advise you to take a look at the white paper and technical paper.
