We should answer your question with a question. Why do you need this information? People can thumb suck stats from sites like Blockchain.info and other centralized sites, but nobody knows how much of these wallets are just duplicates of single users. I have 100's of Bitcoin addresses with different amounts of Satoshi. Every time I experiment with a new site that requires a bitcoin address, I use a new one.

So what are you trying to determine with this question? How many users use Bitcoin or how many wallets contain Satoshi or how many active wallets there are?

well not really, if there was a way to say that two wallet are connected based on transaction that are sent it would kill a bit the anon of bitcoin, because the real anonimity in bitcoin come when you use a completely different wallet

those wallet will not use as a output other addresses that you have created, thus linking them and making you traceable more easily, if for every new transaction i'm using a new different wallet your TX will be 100% anon

No one knows because theres no statistics regarding on this matter because people could able to make multiple addresses and if we are askin about the precise number of individual who uses bitcoin then we would really have a hard time on knowing it or not possible at all.

Bitcoin is created for the anonymity so that no matter how you try, you can never know the exact number of bitcoin wallets or even the number of the people who use Bitcoin. Instead of asking about this impossible job, you should do something more useful and more effective to you such as learning new things about bitcoin. Just to add: even if I've only personally opened 3 wallets, I know that at least three sites I have accounts on with bitcoin in them regularly change the deposit address. I somewhat consider my accounts on these sites as "web wallets" since they perform the exact same tasks as a wallet, except without private keys or seeds.

Within my Electrum wallet I have over 30 addresses, and throughout the lifespan of my accounts on the three sites I mentioned, I'm certain more than 10 addresses have been generated under each account.

I'm guessing here that OP actually wants to find out how many addresses have been generated.

It would be very hard to count how many total bitcoin wallet had been opened because there are now lots of wallet providers. Aside from that, some people here have multiple wallets. There are also some people who discontinued using bitcoin and abandoned their online wallets!

There are many wallets now and there are types of wallet that is mostly used here: online wallets and cold wallets.
We don't know exactly the number of people who used bitcoin because it is not important for it cause it is not produced by government. The maker of it is unidentified person who's alias Nakamoto. You can get also information here by searching.

The bitcoin network do not have a concept like open wallet action, all those wallet are already existed, you just randomly pick one and uses it.
also the address belongs to whom holds the private key, you can't owen a private key, you just hold it and nobody else have it.

There are more than 50 wallet sites online now but hardly 5 sites are trusted by users.
If you want to collect such data you need to do enormously deep analysis and then also you will be able to find approximate number of users. Like you can check how many accounts are there on a given exchange but then no site would share such details.

uh? the original post is not talking about online wallet such a blockain.info, coinbase and akin, but about the wallet.dat that you find in the %appdata%--->roaming

and at present there is no way to know how many are opened, usually people prefer to create a new address, but i actually like to have a new wallet for if i want to have a new address, it's more anonymous

There is no way to get the exact information that you are seeking, for wallets every other new bitcoin related site is opening there own wallet so well that's a lot. As fast as the number of people using Bitcoin is concerned then there is no way to know this since bitcoin is designed to be anonymous, but still with a simple Google search you can get an estimate.

Yes, may be its amazing but this number does not tell anything about how many people keep bitcoins in blockchain.info. For me, I have only in bc.i two wallets. First one when I started to learn about bitcoin which has no any funds and I don't remember password and seed. Second one which I keep it only because I have a network address and I don't want to change it but I rarely use it. So, this is a fictitious number and maybe would be more useful the bc.i to give us any clue how many of these wallets has bitcoins and last time people had accessed them.

I cant say it is impossible. there must be somewhere in the algorithm of bitcoins that how many total used addressees associated with each wallet and how many total wallets being used. But to count how many people using is impossible as there is no information on that.

This have been asked many times in this forum and answer is no we can't know how much people are using bitcoin and we can't estimate total number of bitcoin wallets created so far.

I think we can't determine on how many bitcoin users are there and also about wallets opened 1 person can open a lot of wallets it depends where they use it. As you say, a person can open more than one wallet. The number of opened wallets does not directly number the person.
This graph also gives the number of online wallet users. We do not know the number of people using a desktop or mobile wallet.

But at least as many people as online wallets are using it. I guess the actual number is 2-3 times that.
