depression is the  hardest thing one could ever experience. and i know no one would want to experience such too. but in your situation, i know you have been so stressed out with what is happening in your life. like thinking you are such a failure. (some think worst than that too. like its already in suicidal stage.) but for me, the best thing in coping with depression is first you have to let it all out. find someone whom you trusted most and try to let your feelings and minds out. tell everything, with  this you will be at ease since you have your feelings out. then he or she will advice you what to do, encourage you and help you not to be depressed again. thats what i usually do if im so depress. and i try to listen to music just to help me clear my thoughts

I really hoped Annie would not forget about this thread, there are some nice advices here. Many people had ups and downs in life, though time will come no matter how much money you got, how good job or loving family. There is always something missing.... Dont give up, set your goals and you'll achieve it sooner or later.

I began battling depression @ 2010 after the economy had really gone to hell and the family business was ruined, my now ex and I split-up and it just seemed like everything that could go wrong went wrong at once. Since then it has been a struggle but it has gotten better over time, I find that focusing my energy into a hobby or passion really helps and for me, that is music and playing guitar. One thing I have noticed is that getting decent sleep really helps and if I don't sleep 7-8 hours, the depression gets really bad til I do.

Advising people to turn to drugs to battle depression isn't right. Sure a joint or a bottle of scotch could change your mood for a while but it won't change anything in the long run.

Hearing Music is maybe help for a moment when do we feel so stressed out.. But if we just hearing the music without doing nothing for a long terms, it's not a best solution.

So you have no kidney at all ? I would do anything to earn some money to transplant and have a new kidney. I would borrow money from my family, parents or friends to have working kidneys again. This needs to be the first step. All others will come naturally once you are back on your foot. I pray that you will recover as soon as possible from your illness as unhappiness is a bad illness.

You need to find something that you enjoy doing. There are ever-increasing opportunities for home-based freelance work, but you need to do something that you have passion for. The feeling of accomplishment and success is the best way to defeat depression, so what can you succeed in?

I experienced being depress when I found out that my medical condition was a big hindrance in my career as a nurse. I went back to the philippines after my two years work from Saudi Arabia. I reviewed for almost a year and took three board exam abroad. After that I applied in the middle east and was rejected. That was the most depressing time of my life. It's just like all of my hardwork was crushed and was put to trash. Guess what I did? I cry. I accepted that my dream to work abroad was already gone. Now I have a decent job in BPO and earning. That's what I did to beat my depression. Just go on with your life. Don't  get suck by your depression. Fight it and make this motivation to get better.

depression can kill your state of mind. It came to a point before that I want to kill myself, be burned and vanish. But by the help of family and friends, I cope up. I also engaged to some activities like running or  joining marathoms or enrolling in the gym inorder to release the tension I am experiencing. But most especialliy, I pray everyday. And It works.

To fight depression, I try something to distract yourself from the bad thoughts. Sometimes it helps. If that fails, you can watch your favorite movie. The main thing is not to feel sorry for yourself

Asking for depression advise on bitcoin forum 😄

Id say the big thing to avoid dépression is accept yourself, and dont think you should be something you are not and cant achieve, or that you should be more than what you are, it's putting too much pressure on yourself and deplete your mental energy to reach goals that probably arent even really making you happy be side the image you have of it.

And also you need to find things that make you feel happy, and do them more, instead of trying to push yourself to do things that doesn't really make you happy, and doesn't make you feel good about yourself.

You can only push yourself when you have good mental stability and not plenty of different inner conflict about what you should be doing or not, and how bad you are to fail to reach those ideal. You need to find that mental stability and be at peace with yourself, be side fail ure or not meeting a certain ideal version of yourself, then you can eat any problem alive Wink

Need patience, compassion with yourself, nobody is perfect Wink and really you never know what you can become Wink

Well just my 2 satoshis lol

I think everyone has their own form of depression though some experience it in a more severe way. When I feel that depression is eating me away, I do my best to focus on other things. Getting a hobby would be great. My own job gets me depressed at times so sticking to a hobby is a great alternative. Arts and crafts is a good choice. You may not be good at drawing but there's always a creative side in everyone.
