It's not easy to learn a new language. I've learned to speak Italian within 6 months and still learning other words.

Learning a language is very difficult, I studied Japanese for a year but I have not spoken and heard fluently. I think there should be learning methods and direct contact with native speakers to learn their own language.

I went to La Cote DIvoire in Africa. It's a francophone country and all I could speak was my local dialect, Twi and English. I had next to nothing knowledge about French. I went there and it was very very boring in the first couple of weeks. But I had a friend who understood both English and French.. He spoke the French language n used signs alongside so I grasped some basics early. Like "come,go,eat, food, hunger, good morning, etc) when I got these basics ,Iife became a little easier. Then he spoke the French straight to me. If he sees I don't get it he translates. Within 6months I was 50% conversant

The most common practical way to learn a new language is to practice. It may take long for you to be fluent in a new language, its normal. Also, surround yourself with people who are fluent in the language you want to learn. That's how children learn their mother tongue or first language. It will take time.

Get a native speaker to speak with or just go for a trip in that country and the magic will happen. Basic understanding of the language is required though

The best way to learn a new language is to find and berfriend someone who speaks the language you want to learn, fluently. Watching movies of that particular country would also be beneficial.

you may study by yourself by purchasing books and watching free videos uploaded online. Well, the 1st ever language that I learn is English aside from my native language. I do not enroll on a review center. I just invest in english/grammar books. Then I always read books to enhance my vocabulary.

Learning new language is difficult and challenging but rewarding. Being multilingual is greater advantage especially if you work outside your country. Base on my experience the best and fastest way to learn is through frequent interaction.

I think the best way to learn a new language is to surround yourself with that language as much as possible. Live/visit the country of the language you wish to learn
