When will be listed in exchanges ? Quite curious about picoin price

Seriously?!? First round of airdrop payments isn't even out yet and you're already clamoring about exchanges and price. Kinda pathetic.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Fatal Error PiCoin can't continue safely

Very useful message... thank you for clearly identifying the problem and the circumstances under which it occurred.

If you're running Linux, I have no clue what your problem is, but I bet that if you muster the energy to be a bit more descriptive than "Fatal Error PiCoin can't continue safely", somebody might be able to help you.

If you're running Windows, it's normal to get an error the first time you run the wallet. Just run it again.

If you're on windows, will that happen on any qt wallet you'd try to run the first time?

You will get that strange error message the first time you start the wallet on both, windows and linux. Just ignore the message and restart the wallet, then it should be fine.
If I am not wrong, the wallet looks for some files which are created the first time the wallet is launched but obviously, it can't find them yet. After a wallet restrt, the message is gone and the wallet work like expected.

So that happens for the Pi coin qt only? Just asked because when I ran two other qt wallets prior to PiCoin, I didn't get any such notification but did only for the PiCoin qt... Although it's running now, the memory of that error message still lingers. Anyway, after running it the first time, someone tried to hack one of my google accounts. It could just be a coincidence though. Hope that event had nothing to do with running the PiCoin qt.

Yes, I had this message also til now only with PiCoin wallet. I do not think that the hacking attempt was related to the PiWallet, google accounts get attacked quite often, thus was probably only a coincidence. To be on the safe side, just set a new password for your google account which is much stronger and secure as the one you are using currently.

As rotzbouf has explained this is hapening only on the first start. I have closed and restarted the windows client several times: the error didn't show up again.
I can't see any relation to a google account hack and the picoin wallet. Best is to change your password immediatly.

General update:
- I have contacted a friend and he might be setting up a block explorer for us Smiley
- If no other banner submissions are made OSMIUMCOIN will win an other competition Wink
- As soon as we have the final banners we will start and test a small advertisement campaign. If it is showing success we might be adding an other one Smiley

Thanks dev for the update.
I would have participated in the banner contest but I am far from good at such things. So congrats to OSMIUMCOIN for another contest win Smiley

Why ask if you're not going to believe the answer? Look at first page of ANN and you would see that "Algo: x13". Which is more likely, that the official announcement and the person that answered your question are both lying about it being an x13 coin, or that a new pool operator forgot to change some cut and paste portion of their pool specifications?

please read NEWS POOL in Home Page.

CPU mining is no longer worth it. There are already to many big GPU miners, so the difficulty is too high to be in any kind profitable to mine with CPU.
If you really want to consider CPU mining, do it for fun and not for profit.
Even with a low end GPU, it is almost not worth mining anymore.

with 100kh/s, you will get about 0.2PI/day

For me the only reason to mine with such low hashrate is to simply support the coin and have some fun mining, but in no way will you do any profit with such low setup.

You are probably not native english speaking... no problem, that's fine, but you should try to write your feedback/questions in a more understandable way.
