I don't understand Why no one wants the name Boat for BOAT Huh
it's like Neo for NEO or Waves for WAVES or dash for DASH...
Boat is short and easy and nice.
For example, the Chinese love everything short. And we know that the Chinese are big investors in cryptos...

Bit I like dabloons. It makes me thing of pirates arg !! I love pirates don't you ? Boat ⛵ is our pirate  treasure.

Yes the Chinese invest large amount in Crypto probably most in mining.
Sincerely I prefer Boat to Doubloons but anyway the speech here is about a new name because there is another doubloon: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/doubloons/

The problem here is not what is better for me or for you or for the dev but the problem is what is the best attractive name for investors all around the world... And in the fast-moving world of today the better things are short and simple. For this reason Antshares(ANS) has become NEO(NEO)...

Indeed, BOAT needs a nice apealing name, strong and yet easy to remember. Also I know that apart of Doubloon [DBL] it was another cryptocurrency back in the days thaat turned into a scam, if I remember good. Maybe I'm wrong but if this is true, is not good at all for this lovely project.

Anyway, dev will do what he wants ... Smiley

I agree that a catchy, miminal name is valuable for future growth. That should be a good reason for a possible change.

But what I would prefer to leave intact is at least the relation with pirates & sailing within the old days.

The old (dead) project is basically not a reason to change. In terms of a company, they left the building, new devs
want to create something and now think they have the right for the name, because they were first. Actually
they were later and they don't have any rights for the name... they are just trying to reboot a deadcoin...

The whole idea of asking/expecting others then to change name seems farfetched.

But from the perspective creating a new simplistic name that relates to pirate coin and is more
suitable than Doubloon, although I like Boat (BOAT), but it's losing its relation to pirates. That would be a pity.

Perhaps:
Treasure (BOAT)
Treasure (CHEST)  Cool

?

Yeah its a great little earner and no its not just you as I have noticed that as well on occasions. I can't believe how fast my stack has grown when staking and mining this coin. When mining Boat it can grow a lot faster and then the staking rewards are a bonus on the side, that is why I love this coin so much.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Could you please possibly explain to me how to stake coins?

I honestly cannot figure it out.  Embarrassed

Can you please help, as you seem very knowledgeable in this, haha.

Is only me or the mining rewards have decrease for some time? I was able to mine about 1000+ coins/day till some days ago now I get something between 500-800 coins / 24 h. Maybe this is the reason that the price incresed lately.
About the PoS tbh i didn't see anything notable, maybe I didn't pay much attention to it.

Staking is easy, you should just keep your wallet online at all times, and it will eventually start making money.

Also, how do you connect to the DTDNS Boat 8Pool?

Everytime I click on the link, it just endlessly loads until it says the site cant be reached. Its like my router is blocking it or something. Is there something specific I need to do to bring up this pool?

Try: alt/option click the Go option in Finder and went to

Library/Application Support/ and look for Doubloon folder . Double check to make sure your Mac didn’t add .txt to the end of the conf file. Command + I click on that to change it if you have to.

Thanks for the nodes! Updating OP.

You can create it yourself. You can just put the addnode's above in it and save it.

Ok, I saved the addnode's in a text file and I put it in the doubloon folder. Right so? what do I have to do now? How do I understand that I'm doing the mining?

Yep, here's a Roaming/Doubloon/Doubloon.conf:

Quote
listen=1
server=1
rpcuser=user-here
rpcpassword=pass-here
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=33828
port=33827

And drop these nodes in there:
