finex going cray
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

maybe I sound pretty stupid, but can anyone explain me quick  what

that indicator tells me "MACD"

Yuck, I don't know about all this technical Crap, but that looks like a coiled spring to me.

I really hope not, I'm hoping that a more mature, distributed environment of exchanges will slow the train down a bit. Efficient arbitrage and all that Crap.

I think this is forced liquidation from people who were shorting btc.

There is more than 10k Btc open on the short side on Bitfinex, will be fun to see them closing their positions to cover losses.

This made me remember when we broke 266 on gox/stamp/btc-e last year.

The exchanges were slowly eating their walls until everyone were on no man's land and we quickly rushed to 350.

I think I am getting old for this.

I slept through most of that, but I did obsessively watch the charts for several hours a day afterwards

Aww, we're going down again. Really, the excitement of watching the walls fall and the price slide up is captivating somehow.
It's so pretty. Smiley

Yes I agree. I called this earlier when it was stable at $421-$425. I knew so many people thought we were going back to 400 for a extended period of time because the RSI was way over 75 area, and everyone foolishly opened shorts and simply got left behind. Finex buyers are moving over to stamp and cleaning up these stubborn "walls", stamp kinda has been lagging $10 all day. 10K in open shorts on Finex will have to close to recover soon enough. That's where we get a quick $30-40 spike in 2-3 hours when that pressure sets in. I see $452-$457 in 5 hours.
