Personally, I think it's hard to beat buying instantly through Quadriga via debit card for just 1.5% - I never have to leave any money there, just send fiat and withdraw bitcoin. The first transfer I made was delayed 24 hours for some security reason, but every time since then it's instant. Very nice service.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I actually opened a Quadriga account when Cavirtex closed down but I haven't used it yet. This sounds promising.

It seems to address most of the reasons for using an ATM, except for having to keep money in my bank account. While banks may not be quite as dangerous as the internet, they're still a risky place to keep your money.

One point I forgot to mention is that the Canadian exchanges have such low volume that anything other than a very small trade has the potential to affect prices. Because the ATM I use is based on BitcoinAverage, there's less chance of slippage.

Interesting little dump. Seems to be bouncing back pretty quick.

In other news.....GBTC volume way up compared to yesterday.

Will it dip below 40 a share before closing?

I think it is possible and also think that would not be a bad thing. Consistent high volume and prices with a premium but not a ridiculous one would be a good thing.

if country A wants to trade with country B they don't use their local currencies they buy BTC on the open market and use that as the medium of exchange, this is why we call BTC the global reserve currency, investing in BTC is wise and you should start as early as possible.

I'm surprised that there aren't more folks moving BTC short plays to GBTC and taking advantage of the gap.
Or even go long BTC and short GBTC.  Free straddles, and you hold the more secure asset, the BTC.
