I'm a little nervous for this Steve fellow. Dude seems totally newby at trading and it's like watching someone waltz up to a roulette table for the first time w/ their life's savings. Nothing could possibly go wrong, or. My guess is, this stack of 8k is going to diminish at a steady pace or in one fell swoop if he starts messing w/ leverage. Best of luck tho.

Im shorting here. I think we will drop to 233 before we make our claim back into the 240s
You shorting for 4$ profit? That is brave Every penny counts. I have 30 btc on the short. So 4$ is 120$ profit. Loving that margin from BFX Wish okcoin would allow US members. 20 to 1 would make me a wealthy man or broke in a minute

This is embarrassing, but not more then a week ago I lost 5000$ on Betcoin playing roulette. Was really wasted. I have been buying and selling bitcoin for 4 years now. Never with any real thought. Just in that I believed it would always go up. During this whole time I have spent a good part of every day learning everything about trading bitcoin, but never taking the plunge into real trading. Got into trading with leverage a few months ago and have been doing ok profiting nicely. Though the moronic 5k gambling loss erased my profit. Live and learn. I get one of those in my life

You've been at it since 2011? Did you hold some from back then or sell on the way up? Most people expect those who were around then to be rolling in it by now but life is rarely that straightforward.

For the record I ended up not doing anything until ~238.3 where I shorted. Then at 237.1 things slowed down and I was unsure of where we would go so I closed it and opened a long

^Bitcoin in a nutshell. Three different-sized wheels. Special road. Exact path must be followed. All for what? To go around in circles, while people point fingers & laugh. i see no one laughing "Are we not ENTERTAINED? The tipping point?

You've been at it since 2011? Did you hold some from back then or sell on the way up? Most people expect those who were around then to be rolling in it by now but life is rarely that straightforward. Not sure the exact dates I got in bitcoin. Some of what I say below may be mixed up in time. I bought in at ~3-4$ and sold at ~30$ which was a big deal back then. That was the first huge raise in price like that. Then I bought in again around 7$ and sold at ~14$. Bought in again at 10$ and left to take care of some personal things for a while. Not sure if this was before the ATH or after because my memory is not the best. Sold at ~200 something. Then it crashed to 40$. I bought back at 50$ and held. Sold that at ~300$. With the ATH I had been holding a ton of coin and sold at like 900 something after missing the peak and watching it dropping. I trusted a few people with money and lost out. I took my profits and made some large investments which bled money. I put a majority of my profits into a venture purchasing gift cards from a supplier. Turned out the supplier was fraudulent which caused me to loose 99% of my money and have to sell off my investments to make back a few bucks. Lost from tens of thousands in gift cards that all had the balances drained at once. Lost from this happening right after I had sent the person a large sum and the supplier did a runner. Lost from the sites I sold the cards on charging me for all the gift cards I had sold in the prior months because they were canceled. Always moving forward. I seem to have developed a very self destructive pattern since being thrown into a depression after that all happened. Which I thought I had fixed, but the 5000$ roulette loss is proof the issues still linger. When the coin shoots back up and I am wealthy once again I will be much smarter with everything. The fact I am profiting now playing with leverage proves something

You've definitely made some impressive moves. I don't think my history would've been anywhere near as well timed as that had I been around at the time.

http://www.wired.co.uk/magazine/archive/2015/06/features/bitcoin-reid-hoffmanvery nice read... But thousands of the world's most creative programmers and technologists recognise the possibilities that it presents. In time, we are going to see the emergence of Bitcoin Googles, Bitcoin Facebooks, Bitcoin Alibabas -- massively valuable companies for which no contemporary analogues exist -- built on the platform's foundations of decentralised trust and programmable money. And there's a very good chance it will happen faster and less predictably than anyone currently imagines.
probably have to wait another year and helf. obama is being a little bit to greedy in his money grabs. companies now must face the threat of being hit with massive $700M fines if they forget to notify the govy that homeboy went to the restroom before he bought his bitcoins.
