Alright friends, I have 8000$ to play with in trading on BFX today. Should I open a long right now to close at 250 by monday?
Im thinking we may drop to ~232 before we rebound to either 250 or at the very least back in the high 240s.
Debating if I should short right now.

Why don't you just buy and hold for few years? It's boring but if fun is main factor for your investing strategy, maybe you can play casino - that is even more fun...
I have coins stashed for the long term already, but those coins are not paying my bills right now. I am trying to make a living trading and the only way to do that on a daily basis is to buy and sell every day. A casino is not more fun. At a casino you loose money. Any time I am profiting I am enjoying myself.
I do play a lot of poker on Betcoin.Ag though

Well, asking people in the wo thread is the wrong way to do it. Practice with a fictious sum first and develop a strategy. Preferably one that works. There should be some threads both here and at other trading forums about strategies and risk management.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

let's assume he's already got his long term investment set in and is looking to play the volatility game
yes start easing into a long now... fuck all in at this point is probably safe.
but i wouldn't take profit at 250... have some faith that demand will pick up again and we'll see >300 soon enough!
i've been building my position for a few months now, in ~5K$
can't lie gotta be honest, i'm starting to think about selling all my things...

Are you confident that bitcoin will succeed in the future?
If not I agree with your stance/plan.
But if you think bitcoin will gain absolute mainstream adoption when what are you waiting for, why do you need to see upwards price movement before you commit?

Buy at the bottom when things are looking shit, that's the best way isn't it?
If you wait until we rise to 300 for example if you're planning to buy a decent amount of coin then even just waiting until 300 you'll be spending a hell of a lot more than if you get in now.

Determine your confidence in the future of bitcoin, if you're positive about the long term future then get the hell in now whilst coins are still cheap 'ish'.
