There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The good news is, I think we've reached a new era of Bitcoin. Extreme volatility has diminished.

No Torque I don't agree: we were at $1300 and now we are at $1050. If this is not volatility what is it then?
I would not call that over, yet

30% drop is a cake walk compared to the past.  That whale controlled everything in the market between ~900 and that 1350 blip. And I didn't say volatility was over, just diminished. Go look at Altland right now if you want to see 'extreme' volatility as compared to Bitcoin.

So I don't agree with you, sucka.

Sry mighty Torque, but volatility will still be a issue for about 3 a 5 years according to the CORE roadmap.  But its decreasing yes. Bitcoin is getting stable very very slowly.

Well for over 4 years I have mined bitcoin, bought, sold, traded and watched these crazy ups and downs. At times many thought crypto was dead" lol but through it all BTC is still here and ALWAYS has bounced back to a point where it lives to fight another day.

My take is, BTC is pretty much stable now and this current price may very well represent where it should be at this point and time. Crypto in general is still in its infancy and is growing. Used to be we had Sha-256 and then Scrypt and that was it! Now we have other great algo's ... ETH, ZEC, and many more. All of which I think help further along and bring stability and staying power for BTC.

I have always said with crypto, all roads lead to Bitcoin' and that has not changed. Would I like BTC to reach another ATH, sure! but usually those are far and few and here we are at 1,050 ish range... not to shabby  Smiley especially when you look back at all of the challenges it has faced.

Now if all the altcoiners would just move their shilling over to their own sub-forum .

moderation has been abandoned selectively,
mod lackeys got marching orders from their pnd fraud cartel overlords
to overlook shilling of specific shitcoins (shithereum, darkshit, shitero, zcrap, etc)
try mentioning alts not on the list and it will be deleted in seconds.

This is the bit where people are frightened to buy in case it starts heading back down again. It will probably stay fairly flat for a while before people get the confidence to start really pumping up the price. If we are in a giant 2013 style cup and handle that's good. Before the handle goes  sky high there should be a flat phase.

Still creeping back up after that horrible whole day under $1000... currently $1050USD (Bitcoinaverage).

Why 32 000$? I want at least 100 000$ Otherwise it would be a letdown. 32 000$ isnt even more than a average car, or a expensive watch. Bitcoin is worth more than some car or a watch.
