Hope that shorting will not burn me as bad as buying Butterfly Labs Hardware back when it was $6 a BTC
I'm glad I bought my BFL 30GH/s SC with CAD (Paypal) instead of BTC last February.

It finally arrived this week. Now hopefully this rally can last long enough to let my miner  pay for itself before parabolic difficulty makes it obsolete. If nothing else, at least I've got a nifty little space heater just in time for the cold weather.

I've had mine (one 60 and one 30) for a couple of weeks now but the fans are so loud I have nowhere to put them so they've just been sitting in a corner at work awaiting an appropriate location as the difficulty sweeps up.  Do you seriously think you have a chance of getting your money back by now?  I was thinking I'd be lucky to get the value of my import tax back but overall I'm glad my money wasn't with the one that went under and I do have some nifty bits of kit that I can plug in and participate in the bitcoin underlying network - which was mainly what I was excited about in the first place Smiley /off topic

I wonder how recent 266 bubble affected people. Are they now not scared by bubbles any more and even if someone will dump lets say 100k bitcoins at once we will recover really fast? I'm not going to do anything when price will drop hard. Maybe will buy some more if i will have cash ready. But what others will do.
Last March/April I promised myself to learn from 2011 and not panic when the bubble burst, but wait and sell some coins to the dead cat bounce while hoarding the majority. Worked out OK. I sold at 165, bought back at 97 and been hoarding ever since.

Now I'm trying to accumulate as much fiat as I can in my Virtex account without selling any coins, waiting to buy more coins when this next crash happens.

Yep, mine's loud but I've already got "silent" high-airflow replacement fans ready to swap when I finally shut the thing down long enough to to make the switch. At the moment it sounds like a cross between a hair dryer and a vacuum cleaner.

As for getting my money back, I agree it's dicey, but as the BTC price surges upward, so do my daily earnings. Yesterday they were $10, today they're $13 and rising. Still it's a long way to go to pay for the $810 total including shipping, taxes, and border shakedown.

Anyone notice the rally stopped in China? I realize it's early for them, but today they barely rose a few bucks.
BTCChina is up 5.5% on the day. Almost 2.5% in the last 2.5 hours.

Set the candles to "D3."

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Then, go out to W1 and compare 6/1/2011 to 3/27/2013.
Extrapolate for 3/27/2013 to present day.
Change pants.

Still less than 10% down to stamp. China follows. Looks sound.

When we pass all time high, every fucking lowly newspaper in the world will have an article about it.
