This guy thinks institutional investing may offer natural protection of bitcoin presumably because gov't will be less inclined to mess with them as compared to retail investors. He also thinks mass adoption won't occur until btc becomes the worldwide monetary standard.

He's on to something here, but I'm not sure its for the reason he thinks it is.

With large institutions in play, there may be a natural “bulwark” against government overreach.

This is only because these giant companies have lobbyists whereas retail investors don't.

According to CoinShares data published by international news agency Reuters, $1.4 billion of institutional money has flown into Bitcoin-focused investment products over the past few weeks.

But in the first 2 cycles the pullbacks only occurred once miner revenue had surpassed its previous ATH.

 When I scaled down the original image for mikeywith's avatar,  Light Yagami's eyes appeared to have no pupils.  I tried to add the pupils by darkening the eye and at first blush it looked good.  Seeing it in use, I realized it was not right.  Light Yagami is not supposed to be a doe-eyed young boy and while no one complained about this, my OCD went into overdrive. 




 It was cheaper to make the needed repair than to attend a therapy session
