This guy thinks institutional investing may offer natural protection of bitcoin presumably because gov't will be less inclined to mess with them as compared to retail investors. He also thinks mass adoption won't occur until btc becomes the worldwide monetary standard.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/institutions-will-protect-bitcoin-from-government-overreach-erik-voorhees
Quote
In Voorhees’ view, the real surge in institutional interest will occur near the peak of the next bull market when not owning Bitcoin will inflict reputational damage.

He's on to something here, but I'm not sure its for the reason he thinks it is.

Quote
With large institutions in play, there may be a natural “bulwark” against government overreach.

This is only because these giant companies have lobbyists whereas retail investors don't.

Bitcoin Sees Massive Inflows from Institutions, Gold Sees Mammoth Outflows
According to CoinShares data published by international news agency Reuters, $1.4 billion of institutional money has flown into Bitcoin-focused investment products over the past few weeks.

By contrast, gold has seen massive outflows of $9.2 billion during the same time frame as investors seem to be becoming increasingly keen on the digital iteration of the yellow metal.

He always was open about he's holding... they where not low, but also not abnormal or insane ... So would be weird for him to exit boat like how he did ...

Goodbye mindrust.

Welcome r0ach v2.0.

BTC Weekly:

Top = Miner Revenue

Bottom = BTC

Many are expecting a substantial pullback.

But in the first 2 cycles the pullbacks only occurred once miner revenue had surpassed its previous ATH.

Additionally, price peaked after new miner revenue ATH.

This time?

Watch how traders, shitcoiners and weak hands transfer their #bitcoin
to strong hands like Grayscale, Paypal, Square, MicroStrategy etc. These BTC will disappear from the market and go into deep cold storage and stay there for years.

mikeywith: silent but deadly.
Pro tip: DO NOT let him write your name in his notebook.

avatar-sized

 When I scaled down the original image for mikeywith's avatar,  Light Yagami's eyes appeared to have no pupils.  I tried to add the pupils by darkening the eye and at first blush it looked good.  Seeing it in use, I realized it was not right.  Light Yagami is not supposed to be a doe-eyed young boy and while no one complained about this, my OCD went into overdrive.

 It was cheaper to make the needed repair than to attend a therapy session Smiley

This is a gift and a blessing, just as perfectionism is. You are lucky to have it, and you should cherish it.

If more people in the world had it, the world would be a better place. Instead, the majority just don't care... Sadly...
