Looking at the Boston Dynamics recent video, I can't help thinking how shotgun resistant these things are or will be. I'd love to find out, and probably will, but for now drones will have to do. green lasers electromagnetic fields the good old pitfall ... plenty of options. There are also slugs. I mean, typical 12 gauge barrel is 0.727 inch diameter. That's gotta put a dent in any of those machines unless they are armor plated. My thoughts exactly, a shotgun slug that can take down a wild bore will most likely take down a robot as well.

I thought I saw what looked like a similar robot being used by US Airforce on their base. One purpose was a roving patrol. So it's like, literally, a watchdog. It goes around for a few hours, then goes home to it's doghouse to recharge. A few robot dogs do this rotation all day and the base has all day and all night robot dogs doing sentry duty.
If anything topples them over, that raises an alarm and the other soldiers come in to investigate.

Those who were inclined to sell instead of hold will likely have sold to Fortress Investments or one of the other large companies who've been buying up claims at a massive discount over the last couple of years. Andy Pag who was the organiser of Mt.Gox Legal sold has claim to one of those vulture companies. He had a claim for around 105 BTC, for which he received a mere $63,000. Had he held, his claim today would be worth at least 15.75 BTC+BCH (~$454,000) plus a cash component worth around $46,000. Side note, it's stated in one of the docs that the trustee will dump all other forks for cash. Wouldn't want to be jbreher right now! Two weeks late, but I don't think this has been posted yet (sorry in advance if it has) It was. Easy to miss in this monolithic thread however.

Out of all the BTC I have ever “bought” with $, 30% of it (in $) has been this year @ $16k.. I bought $50 worth on cashapp just for fun.. Heh.. I also bought $100 worth in 2017 to help someone out..
This year I also bought a couple miners to flip with $ and paid shipping in $ but sold them for BTC, so that’s kinda like buying a little BTC too I suppose in a round about way.. Made $60 profit.. I’ve done that a couple times but insignificant amounts..
Thinking about buying BTC now blows my mind.. I know it’s probably a good investment but with the prices now I have probably burnt thousands of $ worth of BTC when 100k sats meant nothing.. I’ve probably spent $20k at today’s prices just in exchange and TX fees..

That fact that the perception of the price "being too high to be worth buying" which is hard to resist even for us here, means that it will only still be very smart money buying at these levels. Hard to believe but it is STILL early.

Oh I’m not saying that it isn’t worth buying.. It just looks like $100 is just dust, lol..
Actually I’m kicking around the idea of buying Bitcoin with all of my income like immediately when I get it and then just selling whatever BTC I need to cover my usual spending..
Put all of my checks into BTC, use a CC all month, and then just sell whatever I need to may my CC balance at the end of the month..

See the price dropping. Moved some FedBux into Gemini and placed a dip order for $250 @ $28,000. Let's see what happens.
Huh. Order got filled. Feeling sassy and placing another degenerate dip order for $250 @ $28,250 and see if I get filled again. I like getting filled with dip.
a wild bore

Interesting year behind us, cannot wait for BTC to take its throne during the third decade of the third millenium AD. Maybe one day call 2009 year 0 AB
Either way happy nye everyone. Even if this ship goes down (it won't, it bounces to damn high off of the sea floor), it was a blast !

plenty of options.
An EMP would be the choice, but I like it messy. I always recall the slingshot I had as a kid, whenever I see a drone flying low on a beach. Perhaps the coming summer I'll even buy one and carry it with me. Throwing stones manually at them does not work very well. I didn't mention EMP, because i didn't know if it's even possible without nucular materials. Once i read about DIY building an EMP from a microwave, but i thought that was a hoax. Also, afaik EMP spread spherical, so you would take out your own electric circuits as well. Certainly have to dig into that topic a little deeper. I'm fed up shoveling show, it's the fourth day in a row now

The end game is $1m and higher. That's going to happen in the next 10 to 20 years. $100k to $500k is within the next 5 to 10 years, probably sooner. $50k is well within the next 5 years, again, probably sooner. I read another article that mentioned $10m to $50m to $100m. That's probably at least 30 years away so it's not something I'm thinking about right now.
