Donald Trump has signed an executive order to develop a national digital asset stockpile and a crypto working group. I would’ve rather seen a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve, but I guess politicians all have their own pet projects they want to pump. The way of the world. Still, you have to take a win when you get them and that’s what this is for Bitcoin. I think Solana and Ethereum holders are being given a gift on the back of Bitcoin, but that’s ok. This is the birth of a new asset class.

Donald Trump has signed an executive order to develop a national digital asset stockpile and a crypto working group. Crypto... As expected. At least Ross got his pardon. Not that he's a saint, but 2 x life + 40 yrs was far too harsh. In a few years' time he'll be a millionaire (if he isn't already). [...as above...]

Forget BSR. It's CSR now. The new trend. SOL, ETH, XRP and all... Yeah, I can’t believe that XRP is going to probably become successful. I feel like ETH provided a certain value advancing development of digital tokens and Solana seems to be a favorite of the younger generation for in person use and token trading. XRP does what though? Who ever used it for anything? Ripple seemed like it should’ve died off 2 cycles ago. The one “crypto” I truly hate for some reason.

Maybe because it was born as a corporate shitcoin in the first place?

I am a bit concerned with crypto being mentioned more than Bitcoin. Though I think that rather than the money, it's more likely that Trump would want to play kingmaker and make a lesser coin more successful than run with Bitcoin which has already done a good chunk of the heavy lifting. Plus he has Musk whispering in his ear, never forget.

Okay disclosure of my shitcoinery Eth = No Solana = yes Doge = yes Ltc = yes along with some small others. btc = 90% of my crypto shitcoins = 10% of my crypto So lets all thank the trumpeter for ending DEI but picking Crypto over BTC

Pretty tough to do when that same company was hacked and the phone numbers, email and postal addresses of over 270,000 owners of the Ledger hardware wallet were made freely available for download on some hacking forum. Ledger

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/01/court-rules-fbis-warrantless-searches-violated-fourth-amendment/The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), a digital rights group that has long said a warrant is needed to conduct such invasive searches, celebrated the ruling as "better late than never." The EFF noted that the FBI conducted 3.4 million warrantless searches of US persons' 702 data in 2021, describing it as a "routine practice" and calling out Section 702 as a "finders keepers" rule that for years has seemingly given feds' unfettered access to many Americans' private and sensitive communication data.

This is good news. Even if the far left returns to power this will keep cbdc off the table for at least 4 years.

I know everyone will find some reason to be skeptical and critical. And there will probably be a good reason. But to me, this is another historic moment for Bitcoin. What were the optimistic assumptions about Bitcoin's global success say just 4 years ago? For me it consisted of the then unrealistic dream of an ETF being approved and the even more utopian idea that there would be significant buying to influence the price. All the bankers and heads of financial institutions were against Bitcoin. Until the head of Blackrock turned around and became one of the main proponents of Bitcoin. This happened 1 year ago and we can see how the purchases are very significant and increasing over time. Not to mention what Michael Saylor is doing.
The second utopian dream was for the US to stop the war on Bitcoin and recognize it as an asset like gold. Who could have believed that the US President would speak positively about Bitcoin and take up legislation to favor it? It sounded absurd and delusional. I personally believed it, but to be honest I thought it would take 10-20 years. But it's now a fact and today marked the beginning of something unprecedented - the US owning bitcoins and building up a significant reserve. People who are Bitcoin activists have been put chairs of key commisions. Of course, this is just the beginning of mass adoption by individuals and institutions. But it is now certain that it will happen and that it will take much less time than I thought.
As usual the day traders are so short sighted that they consider this as sell the news thing. But for me in the coming years the door for significant growth is wide open. So I think it is right to congratulate ourselves on this expected success. We are not just lucky gamblers, as some people think. We are visionaries who have confidently invested in most cases 100% of our available resources. We've endured like soldiers through all sorts of crashes for several cycles with harsh winters and temporarily sunk investments. But unlike the mindrust we have not broken. This has built us as individuals with strong character, and helps us in other aspects of life. So congrats to the whole WO gang, especially those who posted encouraging posts even in the most difficult times. I would like to give my sincerest thanks to LFC_Bitcoin and El duderino_ for their unwavering optimism!

The UK guy whose gf dropped the hd with 8000 btc (or something like this) to the dump and whose claim on excavation was recently declined should assign 50% of rights to it to US BSR. This is his last chance as the judge in UK already declined it summarily.
This way, Starmer and Trump would negotiate the excavation with the judiciary. A similar deal to TikTok, lol. You can get nothing (current situation) or 50% of something BIG. They should do it privately, and if they find it-release all the publicity.
I believe that this story would captivate millions if not tens/hundreds of millions if concluded positively. Netflix series are guaranteed.

I get your point because from the swearing in of trump till now the emphasis has been on crypto currency and not Bitcoin well let see how things will turn out in the coming days because trump is a politician plus trump has his own Coin that he has launched the same thing for Elon musk let it not be what am thinking about because trump may be using the word crypto currency so as to favour his Coin and that of his friend musk but let see what he has for Bitcoin because in his campaign promises Trump promised to make America the Bitcoin hob of the world

It's an extremely capable coin for privacy. A beautiful design. LTC = Yes <-- Bought some in the early days, left them alone -- Would have gained much more had I bought BTC instead. --- BTC > 99% of my portfolio XMR+LTC < 1% of my portfolio
