I'm waiting for the bull to say "we're still in stealth phase".
I live in a town of 12,000 where only about a dozen people have heard of it and I'm the only one who owns any. Yeah, we're still in the stealth phase. I live in a town of 8 million and I've never yet met a taxi driver who knew what a bitcoin was. And I always ask.

I watched a youtube video where someone tried to give away a gold coin at a beach somewhere in the US. No one would take it. He tried to pay for a $2 meal at TacoBell with it and the teller wouldn't accept it even though it had a legal tender value printed on it. That was Mark Dice. He tried to sell a 1 oz Gold coin for 20$. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzt3EcIo5tk

Therefore the idea "The Public" is anyway involved in bitcoin in any sense is ridiculous.

People are living in fear of everything and refuse to trust their own senses to tell them right from wrong. Yet, they will take whatever some idiot on the television says as gospel. [/quote]

That's the sound of the Bears, slowly going back to their cages and closing the door.
Are there any non extremist on this thread? We fall $100, then we bounce back up a little and thats the sound of bears going back to their cages? LOL Everyone is either screaming single digits or CCMF, without a sound piece of evidence (or a clue what is going on). You will have to go to rpietila's Wall Observer for a saner thread. Using those 2 things in one sentence makes me question you.

Iwas heavily informing all my friends I have on Facebook (and that's real friends mainly, not some strangers) about Bitcoin since it was 250$. I got only one to buy few coins at 800$.
It's a big psychologically Problem. You pay 800,00$ (or 1,000,00$, or 10,000$) for one Bitcoin. Exchanges etc. have to switch better to mBTC. If not, new interested people will be skeptical and development will be decelerated. (Bubble?, Ponzi?, What the fuck is this? Why should I pay sooo much for only one? I'll lose my money....) Not at all, most of them sad Bitcoin is vaporware and told me to find a real job They are from those poor souls who would rather work for 1000$ per month whole their life than invest and risk 100$ into something.
