So artificial scarcity isn't even Bitcoin's own idea?  Stolen from Beanies?  That's just so wrong! Angry

Nah, stolen from the music industry and DeBeers

You beat me to it, I was going to say it's based on the 'women like shiny things' diamond industry.

If the price drops much more those blocks are going to trickle out very slowly indeed.

but sooner or later difficult will adjust and things will go back to normal again

Or not?
Yes, of course. People will jump off the network at different price points. But we are moving thru a lot of those price points nowadays. So we might have to wait up to 20-30 days for next diff change. That means that blocks will on average take twice as long to solve. Not exactly the best PR for Bitcoin.

Bull: Bitcoin has gone from 0$ to 1200$ in about 5 years
Bear: That wasn't real, mumbles something about "Willy Bot"
...
Bear: Bitcoin dropped from 1200$ to 230$.
Bull:  Huh
Until it goes to $1 I would say it's safe for you to HODL, no reason to panic. Bull market still perfectly intact.

What's worse? Holding the bag or watching the game and missing all the fun, because nobody picked you to play along.  Cheesy

Remember how the price dropped massively ahead of the Bitstamp "hack" announcement?

It seems like we'll be getting a new announcement (but not necessarily from Bitstamp) quite soon ... This is a good time to invest in the popcorn industry. Smiley

Good look, cultists. Keep on "buying" all those "cheap coins". (Read: Insanely overpriced coins.)

Ooh tell us the super bearish news exo. Let me guess its a big secret!!11

I don't know what the news are, or if there are any news at all. But let's say there aren't any news: Isn't it a bit strange there's such a massive price drop then? How do you explain this drop? And where do you see the bottom? And when will your coins be worth 10k? Or 1k? Where will all that buy pressure come from?

Trolls be trollin'. Clearly someone is paying you all, because no one would spend so much time putting down bitcoin if there wasn't money involved for them. How much do you get paid? $1 an hour? Well, it's a job I guess.
