Missed my $312 sell order when I was sleeping

finex reached it

I must be the unluckiest guy on earth Grin

Meh, sorry to hear that, man! But don't act on emotions now. Things are still looking positive and overall we're still up and headed for $300+ still, if you ask me. There'll be another pump you can daytrade, that's for sure! Smiley

The coinbase API appears to have gone live at 1:21am central. So far, all it is returning is this:

Quote
{"sequence":474863,"bids":[["277.99000000","0.03170000",1]],"asks":[["278.00000000","0.01000000",1]]}

The values are changing. I'm not sure why I'm only getting the spread and not the full (or even partial) book.

Keep buying, cause it looks very "sustainable"

Organic Growth

I sold before when it was $306  and bought at $282. Knew they dump on news :/

Lol, did the same, with slightly worse numbers though

I also thought it was a bear trap.

The huge volume over the weekend already washed out almost all cheap coins bought under $200. Don't think there are still tons of profit taking coins to be sold.

Bullshit. I bought near $200 on CB and my coins haven't come in yet. I was praying I would get them before the pump was over. Now they're saying Wednesday. If the market is anywhere near where it is now I'll dump like a motherfucker. I don't think I'm alone.

This four business day waiting period sucks. has already cost me thousands.

USD is FDIC insured , BTC is privately insured:
https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1780543

Actual quote:
"Customer funds stored in Coinbase USD Wallets are held with an FDIC-insured financial institution."

To me, that means "If the bank goes bankrupt, FDIC will make your deposit whole.  If Coinbase somehow loses your money, Sorry."

Where did you see "BTC is privately insured"?

There's already been a US Based exchange that complies with US Regulations.  On Feb 5th it will have been opened for a Year now!

https://www.atomic-trade.com

Yeah, Kraken too.

Thought Kraken was British and not in the US.
Kraken isn't US. Also that atomic trade looks like altcoin exchange and news stand in one.

Of course. The big guys are unloading slowly...

like this. They are not dumb to dump all the way to $200 in seconds. They are exploiting these greedy fucks that think that they hit the jackpot with these prices.

You need to use the "level" parameter on the query string, set it to "3" for the full order book

Where did you see "BTC is privately insured"?

The BTC has been privately insured since November 2013 and is old news :
https://exchange.coinbase.com/
https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1662379-how-is-coinbase-insured-

It is the USD held on the exchange that is FDIC insured that is new and unique

p.s..... of course if your girlfriend steals your password and phone to perform 2fa and steal your BTC you won't be covered. May not even be covered under such circumstances with Fiat either.
