CNBC still calling Winkle ETF "Coinbase"....

You guys watching it on tv or streaming?
Can't find a working link for non-US viewers.

I have it on tv

no real information that we don't already know..

"I think I said coinbase instead of gemini, my apologies"

I'm waiting for that "Winklevoss on CNBC after commercial" pump.

They cant say anything about whether the ETF is likely,

They have never sold any bitcoins,

They believe it can have a market cap of 400 billion, or even trillions

really the truth of the matter is anything under $300 is still a great buy.

Exactly.

I don't think you are factoring in the Four Punch Raiders. These guys make the order book their bitch. The bear market likely isn't over until after the next short squeeze and then later a failed attempt at a long squeeze. If $266 holds on the retest two months or so from now. Since apparently I am the only one who knows both what they are doing and how to stop it (and is willing to do so), that long squeeze will likely not fail. I don't have nearly the funds to do it on my own and all my "allies" will be much weaker after this next round trip.

This forum needs a button called "Mark as Troll", if enough people mark somebody as a Troll, all their messages can go straight to the "moon" folder where nobody has to read them.
The ignore button (a couple of years ago) used to glow from light yellow to darker orange depending on the amount of ignores, so if you saw someone with a glowing Ignore button you knew he was ignored by so many users(doesnt mean he is a troll though), you know someone like you would have a red glowing button.... but thanks to Theymos and his free speech hardcore support (which I do support as well) this doesn't work anymore.
Indeed. How about someone suggests this for the new forum. Should be easy to implement.
I've been looking, well carefully following the thread (since my last post here). The amount of trolls is amazing.
Whatever happens (price goes down, or even when it goes up like today) they keep spreading FUD or mocking us and/or Bitcoin.'Free speech' is important, but there has to be a limit somewhere.

This would be totally abused by trolls that would mark people as troll with tons of sockpuppet accounts.

Combined with "proof-of-btc" we would get rid of 99.99% of the "working for 1$/hour" trolls.

Nah, you don't.
Joe the proverbial plumber could have learned computers & coded the whole thing in assembler by now.  We, of course, are stuck using 2009 vintage shareware because Bitcoin.

Hey, cut some slack. You can't just launder that many donated bitcoins overnight, you know.

The Winklevi could stop this bear market without even putting additional capital at risk. all they have to do is wait for this little correction to level out (and it will, no sharp "V" drop), go margin long with their 1%, short the fuck out of it after it goes over 400, slam it back down to $270 and cover. Boom. but they won't do it because they're the kind of WASPy Ivy league entitlement princesses who would  let a Jewish kid steal their best idea and give them a measly $50 million for it.

Mmmh, here's the old overconfidence again: "No way this will go back lower than $270". "Only way from here is up.". "$400 later today" ... and so on.

No, talking my book here, I'm still long. But we're getting near the next manic period again in here, and not that much to show for it so far. I wish this market could ever rise in a more controlled fashion. Probably impossible though :D

ppl should be saying that this is not going up yet and everybody should be shorting (shorts have squeezed in this rise), then i would feel much more confident about this rise, maybe we didnt see enough blood yet with that 160 bottom...

It's going to be interesting to see what transpires over the next few days. This bears several similarities to 475.

Hmm. Could be an interesting concept. A site where you could only join if you signed from an account with a minimum amount of bitcoins. The handlers of any trolls who were getting paid to do so would provide for their accounts though so not so useful from that perspective.

But they would look kinda stupid, claiming bitcoin is "shit", while having >1btc balance. Not that they don't look stupid now.
