Every person from our country lent 500€ to Greece. I would gladly transform this for few weeks on Corfu. A beer for 100 drachmas and gyros for not much more - that was good times. Yamas!
Actually, it was your banks (including perhaps your central bank) lent to Greek banks (including presumably the Greek central bank) a mountain of euros. Where that money went, it is not clear; but anyway the Greek government, that had been elected by the banks, decided that each Greek citizen had to fork 500 euros to pay your banks. Which was the bankers' aim all along: take more wealth from the general public. Trouble is, the Greek citizens were never asked whether they agreed to any step of that plan, not even told clearly what the plan was.

Trouble is, the Greek citizens were never asked whether they agreed to any step of that plan, not even told clearly what the plan was. I will have to agree with Jorge here, since no one ever asked the Greek people if they wanted the loan in the first place. Iceland had a vote about it, when mr Papandreou as a PM asked about it in the Cannes our EU friends forced him to resign. Iceland used the ELA and lead the banksters to prison where the thieves belong. A long story short, EU is ruled by people who are bought from big financial organizations & corporations. They are ruling the world and they don't care if I have to feed my kid or if I don't have a job and I'm searching the garbage to get something to eat. They forced the other countries people to lend us money in order to keep up with a financial "success story" who was never meant to be one in the first place. The reason behind this is far more complex if you want to speak the truth. Greece is found to be the 3rd country in the world in hydrocarbons. Crete, Cyprus, Corfu, wherever they searched they found enormous reserves. Why would they want to "save" us to begin with? I personally don't belong to the Left. Never was. I do believe though that at this phase, it's our only hope and I really wish they're for real. EU's financial terrorism must come to an end. Thanks for all your comments, especially "Pay your debts" ones. I will have to answer to this comment with the same thing I answered back when it was first posted here. DO YOU ACCEPT BITCOIN?

If the rest of Europe had used an eye for an eye on Germany the borders of France and Poland would meet and we would bitch slap the swiss into speaking french. Austria would be a lake.
So maybe we should cut those greeks some slack.
If the rest of Europe had used an eye for an eye on what every country has done here in the last 10 centuries ..what would have happen? Finland would have Ruled the World!!!

Don't be so technical Jorge. Sure I didn't pay from my account, but on average person 'paid' 1500€ for our banks to stay afloat. That was taken from State budget (L'État, c'est moi). And those banks lent average 500 to Greece. They didn't ask us, they didn't ask Greece. I love democracy. Anyway, I was just dreaming about 90's.

I missed that election .....when did it happen? Sorry, I did not follow what happened in Greece very closely. In Italy there was no election, the bankers simply replaced Berlusconi by their man in the dictator's seat, and did not even bother to disguise it. Did they do the same in Greece?

I think about to get my coins out of the paper wallet back to bitstamp. I need to do some trading because I bought at 700 and 800 and it looks like we wont see that price range again. Maybe I will be lucky if I sell now and buy back at $150 next week But do you guys think Stamp is safe at the moment? I mean for a few weeks. When I´m done, Ill put the coins back to a paper wallet or sell them and cash out.

First rule is you never sell your bitcoins for a loss, unless you are a whale and can shake the weaker hands.
