This train doesn't seem to stop anywhere anymore!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Grin

It's like the train in GTA5.  Grin
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I was just looking at some old posts on here back in 2013, when we all dreamed of $1,000.  Anyone talking about $10,000 was seen as a nut-job, in much the same way as anyone now talking of $100,000.  Crazy indeed.  Grin

Yep. Us permabulls back then were confident that $10k/btc would be reached and exceeded someday. We just didn't know when. The 2014-15 downturn was a temporary setback, but it just created a longer, faster ramp.

I'm more than confident that $100k/btc will be also be reached and exceeded one day. Again, it's just the timing that is the unknown. I'm guessing within 5 years max. I don't see that as being an unreasonable amount of time. There will need to be 100M+ adopters worldwide for that to be supported properly, though.

What's the deal with IOTA going beserk? Soon it will overtake Bitcoin Cash marketcap.

I am trying to figure out.... What I have been able to figure out is that a bunch of shitcoins being traded at Finex have been ridiculously pumped for no apparent reason.

Gotta be another record with 470K+ tx done today as per Blockchain.info.  We are almost catching up to that CryptoKitties chain.  Too bad the difficulty will spike to 1.6 trillion within 2 hours.  There is probably going to be a serious backlog as we are in the middle of the week rather than the weekend.

I just had to post to share with someone... I finally have sold one coin from my stash after holding since late 2013. I don't hold as much as I like but enough to make a considerable difference to my life. But with that one coin I've now paid off all debt apart from my home loan. The weight that has just lifted from my shoulders feels amazing. I've got to thank each and every one of you (my original account got hacked a year or so ago) for all your wise words over the years and kept me strong through the hard times to hold. It's been an amazing ride and I'm sure it's just getting started!

You want to know what is scary? Two weeks ago my sister’s former boyfriend, a private soldier that left school at sixteen, started gushing enthusiastically about bitcoin and about how he had made fifty euro on his investment over the past three weeks. I started to feel sick in the pit of my stomach

They just love to trot out the Mike Tyson argument. Snobby fucks.

So he starts to feel sick to his stomach when someone he knows has a bit of luck?

Weird and perhaps this guy would thus be more suited to working at Helga's house of pain rather than commenting on economics.

It would make me feel deep-down sickness if any of my sisters began dating a high school dropout/private soldier.  I'm failing to see the luck aspect in that - up fifty or not.

Where's my beer LFC?

It’s going to have to include cocaine & hookers too buddy. This shit is going parabolic. Did you ever get your BCH out?
I did it a couple of weeks ago, ended up converting half into bitcoin & I’m still spending the rest having fun & on all kinds of useless shit, it’s like a years salary I got from our Roger & Jihan Grin

Hopefully BTG goes up so I can do it all over again.

Good times brother.
