Good morning, WO,s ready for another assault in 11K, we will try again.

I expect the real deal to happen tomorrow after the banks open.
Will it be FOMO or it will be a dump/cash out? Will we go under 10k or to 14k?

Any "realistic" bet?

Why would a dump/crash not show until Monday? A sell is immediate, getting the cash out might take a day or two, but the sale has already been done. A buy on the other hand cant be made until the cash reaches the exchange.
So a dump would have shown already, but a pump will not show until Monday or Tuesday.

We are at Dec 3, 2017´s price... 12 days later we were at ATH.

Based on the above we could be in the next bear market within a month.

Time perception is much different now.  Bubble or are we re-entering a price discovery?

Edit: If it plays out the same I hope we dwarf the shit out of 20K first

CME will open in an hour... will be interesting to see what happens; must suck to sit on a short and not being able to get out over the weekend  Tongue

Does somebody know how the price limit works? I mean halting BTC futures trading will not get BTC price changing.
Will the be forced settlements?
here Smiley i like that:
must suck to sit on a short and not being able to get out over the weekend

not sure what you mean with how "the limit works"
when futures trading opens there will be i think gap up, instant gap up
so if shorters had close limit on 10500 and gap up instantly put price to 11000, they will close with 11000 and not with 10500...at least i think so

Good question.
Can they sell if the limit is hit? This would mean that the longs are forcefully pushed out of the contract?

Could be setting up for some major carnage at the CME that's for sure. ... bulls have got it back to the AYH right before the open too so it might spark a massive surge up on the short squeeze at the open.

When CME went live with the contract in Dec. 2017 I recall an ex-CME head or regulator warning that CME had never dealt with a truly hard asset like bitcoin and it was a real risk for it to cause major failures ... which is a joke because he was admitting that gold was not a hard asset in the way it has been papered out of existence.

Edit: meant to add that there will be a battle to get it back closer to friday's close before the open to stem the bleeding.

Genuine question: can you have a short squeeze in a cash-settled market? Given that the shorter's buys aren't actually fed back in to the (edit: physical) market?

That is a very good observation. The exponential rise we are in at present is just the sort of move that ends a bull run, and starts a long bear market.

However, comparisons with Dec 2017 are invalid for a number of reasons.

My own observation is that the medium-term chart looks strange compared with 2015-6. Price has significantly deviated from the nice steady early stage bull market of the first few months of the year, and now resembles a late-stage bull run. However, that is not to say that there couldn't be other developments.

That makes for a greater unpredictability.

If you sold a lot at $10, when did you buy them originally ? $10 was an early stage price.

Don't forget: the drones are coming.

You have been warned.

huh? amazon drones?

Interesting revelation from MoneroKon today. Thought it would fit in the weekly crypto recap.

I can't really spend the time to go into it right now. But for a teaser, you could just ask yourself what Astral AR could possibly have to do with mining.

During last bull uptrend & currently, there has been a pattern of at least 5 weeks of green before next major pullback.
This is only the 2nd week since last major pullback.
