I’ve never sold moderate to large amounts of coin before (fiat wise) so I’m a bit nervous about that in the future. I don’t want to get caught with my pants down so I admit that last week I verified my UK bank & ID with Coinbase in preparation. If there was a De-Merit action I presume you’d all be giving it to me right now I think you'd have to be a legitimate crazyhead to use Coinbase for sums above the holiday/car level. Imagine how seized up and overloaded they'll be. Imagine how many get caught up in their obscure trigger mechanisms that even they don't understand. The last thing you need is to wind up some forgotten ticket number. You should sound out proper OTC operations. BTW, what are your cashing out plans? Which exchanges are you planning to use or just go OTC way? I guess I'll just split the amount I'm planning to cash out into 4-5 chunks and withdraw from several well-known exchanges simultaneously. I'm pretty sure some transactions will freeze due to some verification or bank issues so I'm trying to avoid putting all eggs into one basket. What are max amounts safe to withdraw via a single exchange/bank? I'm not selling a single satoshi until 100k but need to get ready (upload verification documents etc).

Just been reading, apparently Royal Bank of Scotland & their many sister banks have a good relationship with Coinbase & don’t close/freeze your account if you withdraw, even large sums.
I like the idea of multiple LBC sales though, myself.
Seems dumb to be talking about this now but we all need to be prepared. Should really ask somebody like Vod, OgNasty or Elwar who I think have already cashed out millions.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a thread here discussing cashing out plans, techniques, strategies. I would start one but it’ll be filled with nocoiner noobs, one liner posting, broken English & sig spam.

I'm leaning towards no exchanges whatsoever. Who knows how much more uptight they'll be in future? No exchange will tell you what triggers their paranoia and if they're not going to tell me that why would I risk using them? I'd much rather it was the route suggested by Mr. Augustus where you could directly pay for big ticket items. If I felt the need for a house I might sound out somewhere about that first before thinking about having to sell anything. Should really ask somebody like Vod, OgNasty or Elwar who I think have already cashed out millions.
All in different countries so not super relevant.

Ok, I’m going to sell 15% at $25,000. JJG, you’ll be happy to know I’ve perfected my plan now in theory.
Way too much way too early. 1% maybe at $100k. Maybe. I think we’ll see $100,000 per BTC in 2021 (mid to end of the year). It’d just be nice to take something off the table a bit earlier. I was a millionaire (GBP) in unrealised/unbanked BTC during the last bull run & I sold nothing. The drop to $3,000 was gut wrenching, I thought I’d ruined my life by selling nothing near the top. I’m not going to make that mistake again this time. I know everything points to us breaking 6 figures (USD) per coin on this cycle but I want some insurance against a potential crash. I’ll be selling 15% at or near $25,000. I say "do it". It's none of my business (it's no one else but yours actually ) but you never know what can happen in life. I don't wish it to you of course but some unfortunate events could happen before you ever get the chance to enjoy your wealth. I say "get rich while you can"... and then get richer.

Always worth being prepared. Even if you amend your thinking at a later date it’s not going to hurt to be ready

It could be wise to sell depending on Expectations, but also, considering that this market should grow, but it should... when certain things if you do right now, or in 6 months they really happen. I mean if you own 500.000 Usd now that could become 5 million in 2 years... consider selling something so that you are happy anyways...

You will end up praying that the crash from $70-$100k takes us back below $20k to buy back in. We're at $11k with next-to-zero FOMO. LOL, I think people already FOMOed with bitcoin, around $11,000. Nearly 7 months of bull run, that is too long and bitcoin has gone very far from its start. I could be wrong but I will keep my principle to stay away from FOMO, and keep my patience to be safe and have better chances. Months ago, no one believed that bitcoin would even drop to $6,000, but it actually dropped deeper than that range. From now on, I will keep waiting (taking profits of rest of my bitcoin, and waiting for chances to buy back). Selling the rest - like ALL? At 20K! Don't tell me, you will invest in PMs, right..? Another bitter hater will be born - honestly: don't go full retard. Please. Bears have already been FULL retard, see where that brought them....

Woke up with a familiar tune in my head - not sure the lyrics are quite right
Bitcoin mooning in the dead of night...
take these broken wings and learn to fly...take this shiny dildo to the sky... ftfy

right now bitcoin is holding back close below €10000 (€9980 / $11390). Once we break €10k we may go straight to $12k.

Read this: GRAYSCALE BITCOIN TRUST (GBTC) TRADING AT 40 PERCENT PREMIUM; ‘BIG MONEY COMING IN’Data from Grayscale’s recent performance placed it trading at $14.64 as of June 24. At these levels, investors are working with a Bitcoin price of $14,640.
The premium, which amounts to around 30 percent, is not new but has increased significantly as Bitcoin cements its position in the latest three-month-long bull run.
At one point, GBTC traded above $15 at a 40 percent premium, leading to suggestions that substantial upward market moves were still on the horizon.
Institutional money is coming in. Bitcoin is an asymmetrical bet any portfolio manager around the world cannot manage not to take in a negative interest rates environment. They cannot even afford to wait for the ETF.

I do understand you, but don't think a price drop is the end its just how its work and what is needed to find our higher prices and to be stable afterwards,You can never think you ruin anything cause of increasing/HODLing BTC <---- thats just the bottom line for the ones that can live with BTC, wanna live with BTC and see a real world changing value in BTC, never be fooled but the temporarily pressure of a drop as we have had a few times with BTC, keep remembering its what needs to happen 15% cash out is very reasonable btw, what Lauda says is just (1% at 100K) bit stupid to say imo, I do understand it when you would have a nothing but I mean nothing to worry about, but if you have some RL dreams or things you would like to buy and enjoy at that timeframe of your life.... then do so, just keep the main and if possible good respected Nr of BTC aside and then it will not matter to much if you enjoyed the F*** ou of those 15%, cause RL fun and stuff those matter as well, BTC= massive important but don't over value it for your own life!

10,000 Euros gone. That's the latest one to be put to bed. I think a lot of people always miss that particular barrier.
