Ahem...we pierced 61.8 Fib retracement, next stop 78.6%. Not sure if to calculate from just the top ($19780) or from the prior move (1160 to 19780=18620 points). If the latter, then it is $15795; if the former, then $15547.
Proper Fibonacci retracement levels:

Interestingly, GBTC premium actually decreased today to 27.8%. again two possibilities: 1. Maybe ETF is about to be approved. 2. It predicts an incoming correction.
Is anyone bothering to monitor a correlation with the premium? I presume it's considerably less liquid than the conventional markets so some spikes may not be all that logical.

thanks for the accurate numbers. I see that it is counted from the decline, not from the previous run-up. yet, the numbers are similar (16.1 vs 15.8K). Interestingly, GBTC premium actually decreased today to 27.8%. again two possibilities: 1. Maybe ETF is about to be approved. 2. It predicts an incoming correction.

I do, but very infrequently. Previously, large run-ups in GBTC premium indicated a sharp short-term btc correction, like in mid June 2016, when premium was about 100%.

Well funding rates are through the roof. Normally 0.01%. But who cares. Last month we had days with around 0,2+% / 8 hours - mex MM is just super bullish lol
Isn't that indicator total bs? I mean, it's futures right? Not money being borrowed, but contracts that always have an equal amount of counterparties, if I am not mistaken. Correct, this indicator is wrong. The s/l ratio on bitmex is always 1:1. The perpetual is p2p based thus 1 long contract always has a taker with 1 short contract.
Guys lets come to some conspiracy theories of mine. Right now i have the strong feeling that this run is based on some iluminati whales front running each other, because i do not believe in the slightest that this is induced by retail fomo. Evidence: 1. Google Trends is just around 20% of 2017: 2. No permanent news in TV, newspaper etc about buying Bitcoin 3. 400% pump without a single big correction (maybe the 8200 to 6600, but imo it was more of a flashcrash) 4. not one of my nocoiner friends are asking me So is this finally the one pump to end all dumps because institutional money is flowing into the ecosystem?

We need some OTC stats - whether it's booming or dried up completely.

We need some OTC stats - whether it's booming or dried up completely. I dont think that anyone can provide accurate OTC data. Atleast i never found i legit source for that over all the years (localbtc is just a fraction of OTC deals). /edit Baidu (Chinese Google) searches are way up though apparently; saw an article saying 'the east leads' or somesuch
Oh yeah, i hard about china too, it was regarding bitcoin usage to bypass capital controls. Maybe the trade war is actually very good for BTC?

This is unsustainable. The price will be under $10k before the end of the year, and stay there until Libra takes over. Bitcoin is done. Short bitcoin.
Merited for making me laugh. I'm borrowing the jbreher rule. 'Make me spew? Get a merit!' wait.. what ?? giving bogus "doom is going to consume us all" type predictions gets you merits? Don't give the kid in the store a treat when they are acting bad. You guys are rewarding bad behavior.

I know. Someone needs to keep an OTC trader in a kennel so they can tap them for data in return for a belly rub.

The good news: The bull is really on fire The bad news: A real correction should come in soon, it is very unusual that after a 400% runup in 2,5 months every dip is bought up with big strength. I do not believe we will see ATH in July, thus i will be closing all my longs and prepare for a real big judas candle. Overall, a correction would be healthy now, though its bitcoin and we could see ATH by next month lol. Stops yes. Close no. Trying to pick the top in advance is a recipe to exit and FOMO back in. Let the market take you out of your position, not the other way around. Good advice from Hairy as usual. Disclosure - I am actually manually adjusting a trailing stop on my long position, lifting it up as we go along. I also have a short position (badly suffering of course), but it's small, so the net balance is green by a good deal. My idea is - when it corrects, the stop will sell off enough of the long to remain slightly long on the whole, and I will cash out some profit. As (if) it keeps goes down, I'll also close the short a bit at a time, scraping off a little more. If I were to close everything as it is now, it would be like ~+2.8% on my play money. I'm playing it very safe. Regular behavior would have made me like 5%, and with a little boldness it would be more like 10%.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5157131.msg51611076#msg51611076...For example, do all those cards from Gibraltar actually work as of now? I never got positive confirmation.
I spent a few hours searching yesterday and couldn't find one that was available to Us residents and not marked all over scam sites. Many link to messages "no longer available". We need a list of safe active Charge card sites. Thanks for the reply Hueristic. I did the same some (little) time ago, and you confirm my results. There doesn't seem be even a single trustworthy actor in this field yet. I blame it on the monopolists.

Should not you avoid posting during the bull runs? Hahahahahaha He wants to be right.. so if he posts about the inevitable crash (or correction) then he will be right... But, surely his other statements can be considered comedic nonsense. Does anyone with any kind of knowledge about bitcoin take "bitcoin is dead" statements seriously these days?

This is insane. How many daily +20% happened in last years? Trust me not many. When we hit $20k, then real shit will start. it is insane and must feel obscene for your casual banker that promises you 2% p.a.2 per year compared to 20 per day. fiat is doomed.
