Lockdown 3 announced in the UK tonight.

They raised Covid alert to lvl 5. One hospital in London already went full Covid, suspending all regular care which is not good news for people who needs to be treated.

Stay save LFC_Bitcoin.

I'd say look up "empty hospitals" on Youtube but they have all been taken down.

But Bitchute...

If they're telling the truth, full transparency should be encouraged. A simple video of the full ICU would show people how serious this is (not using fake dummies in beds).

That's not what it says, I believe  Grin

That's the gist of my question indeed.
All the (few and not too informative) sources I found only mention USDC and look hopefully at USDT.
Good for "crypto", yes. I guess we should let that seep in.

Our blockchain, though, is truly public, permissionless etc. It is THE blockchain.
Different league. Different value.
But if all you care for is nominal amount stability (interbank settlement), go back and look at USDC etc.
At least, while settlements are denominated in USD or other fiat  Wink

Wow, so much hassle to apply for a visa in times like these. But I'm on a mission, these matter cannot wait -- I'm going real-estate shopping.

I've had a plan set up for years, and I'm sticking to it. But it's still bittersweet when some of those sell-orders kick in.

This is how I feel when I had to pull the sell-trigger

I feel confident though, nothing wrong with profit-taking. The majority of my coins are still in cold storage and not for sell in the forseeable future (if ever).

Don't think of it as selling Bitcoin. Think of it as buying real estate.

You're just spending a small amount of your Bitcoin profits.

What's the point of earning if you don't enjoy spending a little?

Elwar, it's less a problem of getting more ICUs, it's getting qualified staff. Intensive care is not nursing.
It's the same in my country, theoretically thousands of ICU's possible to set up, but only staff for a little more than one thousand. Additionally, you can't teach this in a course, it's a qualification that needs at least two years to be mastered, more like three to four years.
Feel free to go and ask a doctor who is working in the intensive care field about things you hear or see on the internet about covid and what the "truthseekers" claim is "really" happening. It would be best if this person is somebody you personally know and also trust. I know more than one, and i know what's going on in our hospitals. Don't fall for the conspiridiots.

Yeah that.

Also I'm not sure why Jeremy is taking victory laps as if the entire U.S. Banking System is going to use USDC or USDT for settlements, either domestic or cross-border.

They can just as easily come out with their own CBDC (Central Bank coin, Fedcoin, whatever they want to call it, etc.) and they probably will.

Bingo.

And real estate is most certainly a worthy investment.  It might not grow like Bitcoin does, but you can actually stand/eat/sleep/build on it.

I work for one of the biggest hospital systems in the US.

There are plenty of reasons to treat government, and media with skepticism.   And there is no doubt that the powers that be are using COVID for everything they can.

But i can tell you that one of the main parts of my job for months has been setting up new unit after new unit to be COVID ICUs.

Anyone telling you COVID is not real, or not serious... is lying to you whether they know it or not.  People have the same problems with the exponential graph that COVID infections has created as they do the BTC one.  They just refuse to believe or understand that when you have hundreds of millions of people being infected, that <1% mortality rate is actually a meaningful number.

Is COVID going to kill you?  Most likely not.  But is it a serious problem, and will it kill LOTS of people before it's all over?  Yes, and yes.

Wise words, from a wise man.

Yes, you're right. I'm trying to see it that way too.

It's still hard to sell something that you know will only appreciate in value though, but at the same time I don't want to put my life on hold.

Here I agree with you because we also have some serious issues with this all as in start most of peoples was not serious about this and they was also not taking required SOP's but after some good number of victims know peoples feeling this all as very serious we have stick lock down and facing some big financial and other problems but these all are saving our lives which is very important we have no developed health system but still doing some good work for saving too many lives.

Of course. I'm sure the people in the ICU would love to have their images plastered on the Internet.

At that point, of course, many would be labeled as "crisis actors" because by using special image "enhancement" software coupled with the latest in bullshit it can be "proven" that the people shown were all doctors who graduated from Oxford in the 1960's, then placed in cyrogenic tanks and defrosted at appropriate intervals to give the appearance of different aged individuals.

It's all pretty simple, really. Unfortunately the "I have an invisible dragon, prove it does not exist" has no winning answer other than not to play.

Nothing grows like Bitcoin does, but real estate does pretty well on the whole. As Mark Twain said, "Buy land, they don't make it any more".

Not only can you stand/eat/sleep/build on it, you can rent it out as a revenue source.

Its only drawback is if you incur debt to buy it. Pay cash or Bitcoin, and that's not a problem.

Yeah it's impossible.

I had to sell some btc to pay some bills @ $11,500 and again at $20k.

You bet that hurt, but if you gotta you gotta...

I believe, when they say "public blockchains", they mean any, including bitcoin, where anyone can run a full node, and such nodes are not "private" like internal company altcoins or something where only they can see it.

This would imply being able to use the blockchains of any of the top altcoins as well, where one can easily use a block explorer to look up details of transactions.

Most stablecoins run on top of such platforms and don't really have their own chains. DAI and USDT and USDC I believe are all on Ethereum, and some are on multiple blockchains as well.

I may have missed it in so many pages back, but awhile ago we were talking about page parity, and it's now exceeded that. Perhaps the page count is now a support floor? (Of course, this is all entertainment ...)
