Is it just me, or is this the usual coindesk nonsense? https://www.coindesk.com/market-wrap-bitcoin-slips-friday-6b-options-expiryAccording to Messari research analyst Ryan Watkins, Ethereum is at risk of becoming “dollarized” because of the prevalence of stablecoins including tether (USDT) and USD coin (USDC).
“Ethereum has dollarized, and the dollar is ultimately controlled by the Federal Reserve, clouding dreams of an independent monetary system,” he wrote.
The market has taken notice, and one solution might be so-called non-pegged stablecoins. By sacrificing a “fixed exchange rate,” one of three points in a triangular currency model known as “the impossible trinity,” a new type of stablecoin might be able to achieve an independent monetary policy.
What does "non-pegged stablecoin" (NPS) mean? Stable as in... 1 NPS = 1 NPS? It doesn't work that way. Not unless you change the units from NPS to BTC.

Dai is a non-pegged stable coin, and works like a token to redeem collateral in makerdao. At this rate, Coinbase and their USDC is going to be the new fed/dollar What does "non-pegged stablecoin" (NPS) mean? Stable as in... 1 NPS = 1 NPS? It doesn't work that way. First, they forced the guy to commit suicide in lieu of imminent chemical castration ordered as a punishment for being gay. Now they put him on a 50 pound note. It's like...oopsie.."He wouldn't mind". Just look at that...they like to celebrate the dead, not the living. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JepmXCFFU_o

Holy shit! Facebook did not take on MySpace by saying there needs to be a public social media. Offer something better than Google. Stop whining and just do it better. Don't ask the government to help you. I don't use Google for their search engine anymore. Try duck. duckduckgo still uses Google's search results. They just don't use it to spy on you. I've tried other search sites, it's true that they're missing a lot. I even considered setting up my own crawler to crawl sites I'm interested in as I figure eventually Google will start filtering out sites I'm interested in. Fortunately that is not true: DuckDuckGo gets its results from over four hundred sources. These include hundreds of vertical sources delivering niche Instant Answers, DuckDuckBot (our crawler) and crowd-sourced sites (like Wikipedia, stored in our answer indexes). We also of course have more traditional links in the search results, which we also source from multiple partners, though most commonly from Bing (and none from Google). https://help.duckduckgo.com/results/sources/Just use duckduckgo first. And set the language slider to your country to get more local results. If you feel the search results are not sufficient, type !sp after your search words to search on startpage.com ( which does use anonymized google results) instead (called a 'bang', there are currently 13,564 of them) or !google when really needed. Examples: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=bitcoinhttps://duckduckgo.com/?q=bitcoin+!sphttps://duckduckgo.com/?q=bitcoin+!google

Just imagine how many new contributions to science he could have given us, had he not been forced to end his life. It's so sad how society punishes the ones able to stand out and make a difference. Too many names to mention. Galileo, Turing, Satoshi Nakamoto...

Too many names to mention. Galileo, Turing, Satoshi Nakamoto... Considering just a few years before his suicide people a thousand miles away were quite happy to march women and children into a gas chamber and a furnace I don't think it's that surprising to be honest. Did you know the Nazis often would execute women by gunshot and watch their kids fall into a mass grave and often bury them alive in a way to safe bullets? What is surprising in this day I reckon, is that any sensible person knows that religions are nothing more than fairy tales thus complete and utter nonsense yet a cartoon closes an entire school, has the police avoid implementing any lockdown restriction laws in case of offence and places a head teacher into hiding. Congratulations.

The only thing from Google that we currently use is we anonymously search YouTube on your behalf to display video results, which is necessary because, unfortunately, that is the only place where that content resides.
We also allow people to watch YouTube videos on DuckDuckGo, though that is not anonymous (as opposed to the search results). In that case, though, we have a warning that clearly indicates that Google can still track you, and we still do our best to allow you to watch YouTube videos on DuckDuckGo in a less-tracking way (using their no-cookie domain), which is the best you can do short of using a VPN or Tor It has it's own crawler called DuckDuckBot, and uses other search engines too like Bing, Yahoo ... If I really needed to or had to use Google (although I don't know why), I could just use it from a brand new VM or something through Tor or through another ip address. I believe I used to type google.com/ncr so it's supposed to not redirect to whatever country it thinks I'm in. Can also try Startpage I think.

I've got a token that is pretty stable, but it's not pegged to the dollar. It is still volatile in that the price changes, but as it has a uniswap liquidity pool that keeps getting bigger and bigger over time, the value (to the dollar) stabilizes. It's transaction incentivized. Hard to explain without shilling the token as I do hold it, and this thread generally does not like alts, much less tokens on top of alts.
