Rich is a state of mind, as long as you have food cloths and shelter you are ahead of most of humanity for its entire history.

^ in fact rich is a number in the mind, like bitcoin ... the trick is getting rest of humanity to believe the number in your mind means the same to them as the same number in their minds

I sold most on the 2017 run-up and didn't want to mention that during the winter while people were suffering because I'm not that kind of person.
Do I wish I had that now?
Yes but do I feel stupid for doing it?
NO
Hahahahaha fair enough.. .. and how gentlemanly of you not to be rubbing in your smartie pants during the sufferenings of many of us mostly HODLers. As many peeps who follow this thread likely realize, I have always been a bit too chicken shit to sell large portions of my BTC stash, ever since I got into BTC, even in the 2017 run up and the 2018 correction and various times in-between and even before 2017. I must be dumb. Only dumb if you suffered because of that decision otherwise smart. I actually don't feel as reluctant to sell large portions now, but I just don't know where I would put it, so I suppose, I just remain stuck on the default of ongoingly HODLing and riding the waves... unless something attractive comes along, I suppose. There is no other place that is safer to hold your wealth so your way ahead of the game. Anywhooooo.. ... so when did you buy back your BTC.. assuming that you did.. was it incrementally and at various points or did you do a small number of lump buys? Another part that had always scared me, too is to sell significant portions of BTC (in theory) and then figure out at what points to buy back in... so hypothetically, if I were selling, then I would get nervous and end up buying back with hardly any profits... So not really sure about how to resolve that angle, except the system that I already established for myself, which seems to conform with my comfort levels regarding allocation and largely just staying in BTC.
Well I've already given up more opsec than I tend to but nuff to say I have not sold anything since then and have been adding where I can as this is the safest place to store your life savings.

These cups/plates and a figurine are messing with my head on a quiet Saturday night. As far as perception goes, there is no objective reality, as expected. I can almost make myself see either way (on demand).
EDIT: To think a bit more about this, maybe such change in perception and our brains plasticity are the underlying cause of the sudden changes on the stock market or in bitcoin. Suddenly, the point of view changes 180 degrees. Glass half-full becomes half empty. I remember the change in Feb-March 2000. Suddenly, there was absolutely NO liquidity and you could not sell a measly 1000 shares without a $2 price decline. I was selling out of one stock and had to do 20-40 sells for a 4K shares position (100-200 shares at the time, otherwise the vapid MM just dropped the price like a fiend).

usually what messes with my head on a quiet Saturday night comes in a brown bottle. ....or on this particular night, it happens to come in a flat green tinged bottle that I mix with a spot of tonic and twist of lemon.... (on ice of course) Nite bros, as the dude would say...hodel sleep. (before I post something I may regret tomowi) GO BITCOIN

No need to think that way.
I know. And I usually don't think that way. But sometimes I do remember and... well... Economist, 2 years ago... Most economists cannot comprehend finite supply currencies. And they keep showing everybody how embarrassingly limited they are.

^^^ That's what happens when journalists publish articles on things they don't understand. These articles just serve to feed the egos of those who are against Bitcoin. Problem for them is, their satisfaction is short-lived. In a matter of days/weeks/months, Kind Daddy completely disproves them. And then a new price level is established, an order of magnitude higher. Rinse and repeat.
I wonder what they'll be saying when Bitcoin drops from $400k to $300k. "Bitcoin is dead", surely!

There won’t be any drop from $400k to $300k: “It’s going up forever Laura”
