This cycle feels different. It started not as others with a "premature" summer 2019 bump, it continues on a strange trajectory. No super pumps followed by plunges. We seem to be decelerating now at a level last seen in early February. A "flat with pimples"? A slow cycle? A half-cycle? Mid-cycle lull? Re doge-I am curios as to where it would stop..maybe it is done already, who knows. More interestingly: if inflation will pump by summer/fall, how would this reflect in btc price? Linear thinking says that it would be a positive factor, but I am not so sure, short term.

I hear the Happy News a lot on the finance channels, but there are many indicators of terrible stresses on people and companies, not to mention that the lockdowns, face diapers and general paranoia about COVID not to mention the "social problems" we are having. I also see little evidence of jobs coming back and the other usual similar twaddle. I read both pieces saying we are going through inflation, pieces saying we are going through deflation (something really there re deflation -- M2 money growth has led to little price inflation except for food and ASSET PRICES...) Real interest rates still remain negative best I can tell. Our .gov has become more addicted to lies than ever, and at larger scale. Ugh.

Not to worry Beijing Biden, Kuntess Harris and Satan Pelosi will sort it asap. Another helicopter of money should sort it. And if that doesn't work, another and another etc.
Maxine Waters is already invoking a complete infrastructure build plan. Step 1 is total destruction of the high street. Who needs wrecking balls when race baiting does the trick.

All I see is positive news but the price is meh. I know I’m being ungrateful & greedy, if you told me last April we’d be in the mid $50,000’s a year from then I’d have been delighted. I keep expecting an imminent, explosive move up but nothing doing yet.
Thanks to the back&forth game of "whales" with options/futures, OTC buys and spot sells of BTC. Thanks to leveraging degenerates, not to forget "paper hands", the type of bitcoin "hodler" lately flooding the markets. SOMA-rant FTW! This it what helps me most of the time: 1. stop checking the price a hundred times a day 2. if i check, i always zoom out to 3d and weekly candles after. 3. If i checked, i calculate my holdings in fiat equivalent happy hodling I have tried but then this happens!!!

These ups and down is part for the game!!! Very True. Most of traders wish to see rise of BTC like parabolic candle but in reality it rarely happens and every rise is followed by a fall. Market always moves in waves.

Isn't that due to Boomers retiring/dying off?
No, actually Boomers and elderly living longer than any previous generation before (due to medical advances to extend life) and continue to work longer than previous generations (e.g., can't retire, no savings, etc.). And the population continues to grow instead of shrink. Another fun fact, male labor participation rate is collapsing in an alarming fashion.

If i checked, i calculate my holdings in fiat equivalent happy hodling I have tried but then this happens!!! I will always laugh about this meme, no matter how often i have seen it already Seriously now: If the talka(c)tive brain keeps you or anybody from sleeping, read my advice. Give the area just below your belly button your attention, until you find the "warm spot" right under the skin. No! Not THAT SPOT! (...but there is another one of these "warm spots" between your anus and your testicles as well) The longer you "feel into" that spot, the warmer it gets, it could even start to feel hot and slowly move around a bit, change shape and size and so on. In case you get bored (success!) you may find it easy to locate some other of those spots within your body, just allow them to light up. You will use this technique for distraction from your thoughts and feelings of emptiness in the future. It's easier when sitting upright or leaning on a chair/seat/bed/couch. It will put you to sleep if you're tired, it will make you full of energy when you're awake, relax you when you're stressed out. By the way, while i was typing this, my body started the process by itself, the prominent "hot spot" has slowly widened and moved to my right thigh by the time. It's an old Zen trick, and you gave me the opportunity to share it EDIT: Sometimes it's difficult to start. Just rest the palm of your dominant hand over the spot (...no, not that one, again! the belly one!).

Forgot all about that "Event". What a shit lineup of products. People wanted the iMac chin gone. What does Apple do? Keep the chin and change everything else that wasn't necessary. Not even a normal USB port. What nonsense. USB-C displays and adapters have never worked as reliably well as the old school mini displayport either. The new Mac mini is now more versatile than an entry desktop. Imbeciles. EDIT: There is an ethernet port. Hopefully a bigger iMac will be released later this year or next. The new processors Apple do seem impressive but without ports and thus needing countless dongles it's just nonsense for such a big machine. Even some stand alone displays have better connectivity. Makes no sense.

And into wait for it : BTC mining So while their gear sucks and is an embarrassment I am forever grateful to Jobs dying and Cook taking over. Apple made some serious coin for me.

What do you guys think about a financial crisis looming with all the debt and stock market just rising.
Back in 2008 I remember people were basically hoarding everything possible. They had some kind of feeling of hoarding and purchasing stocks, real estate, anything just to make money and feel good. I see the same atmosphere around today, once again. But this time it seems even crazier. Money's being made out of any crap possible and people seem to be once again hoarding stuff. I know quite a lot of people who've got into debt in the last year. They seem not to give a damn about a looming financial crisis. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is "toi expensive" but $1k worth of clothes aren't. Makes no sense, and it seems like people are going damn crazy with the spendings. Just look at DOGE. The GME hype as well. Ever since the GME hype, I thought we're in the middle of a "too-good-to-be-true" hype created by the Rich which will make stocks and prices parabolically go up before dumping harder than ever before, wreaking havoc and affecting especially the average investors.. It's probably a last hype before the disaster.
