Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

This news shocked me that China has administered more than 1 billion Covid-19 vaccines.

This seems off topic but it's not... China is always 10 steps ahead of the world in every field, pick any and we see China is leading in it.

Same what happened in case of Bitcoin mining or let say war of crypto currencies in general, China seems to be the sole winner as a nation. How? What black magic do they posses?? for comparison here on bitcointalk I don't see many Chinese around, even the local Chinese board is one of the least performing local board. Yes we can argue English language might be the reason but in that case whole internet is in English mostly but still on ground China is leading.

I don't know when and how China took over Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining but I believe China is shaping the world. We can have difference with Elon but when he pointed out that one Chinese coal mine incident effected the bitcoin computing power up to 1/3 was shocking and true at the same time.

So at the moment I feel China and Bitcoin are going hand to hand. If Bitcoin effects China (whether its control or monitoring or whatever they feel) China will effect bitcoin.

The first bot I used with some minor modifications was this one by prof7bit written in Python:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=181584.0

Later used one in Java for BTC-e (now defunct, another destroyed exchange).

I would most likely port the old Python one (see link) to support the Binance API, but we will see, not going to bother unless we see some volatility/oscillation action.

Might be interesting to know if you would be successful.. in terms of getting a bot to work on another exchange.

Of course, if you had used something like that on MTGOX and then on BTC-e that is quite historical happenings rather than recent happenings.. so you may well be out of practice or rusty, no?

I never did try to set up an account on MTGOX, but BTC-e was an easy place to set up an account in early days (talking late 2013). and yeah, I lost some coins on that exchange (I think that it was around mid 2017?) and I probably should have discontinued using them at a certain point, but did not really realize how badly it was going to devolve.., even though the signs were fairly strong..

PS  By the way @modrobert, I reflected a wee bit more on your stated concern about lack of volatility and/or oscillation, and jeez.. I am wondering what level of volatility and/or oscillation do "need" in order to feel comfortable?  Perhaps you are looking for a smaller range.. and I wonder if you are able to get consistent returns.. not that you would be very likely to get me to change anything that I do.. because right now I consider myself as a mostly HODLer and an accumulate, but I do trade relatively BIG swings relative to my history.. I started out trading less than $5 price moves, but sure the price was then only around $250.. and now my trades are $1k price moves, but the spread is $6k to $7k so they tend to take a while to trigger upon a reversal.. most of the time.

If you are interested in learning to program enough to make changes to source code (with trader background), I suggest focusing on the math in existing source code and learn that part in said programming language first, and then build from that (execution order can be tricky to follow in modern languages). Let the bot announce/print the orders placed without actually doing anything towards exchange to debug, or run with code in bot so you manually confirm each order until it seems correct and stable enough to run on its own.

Ideal conditions for rebalancing bot; when Bitcoin moves through existential crisis support wise (note, people go berserk, the core idea is still solid), happened several times in the past (not sure if we are getting into to one soon), then you can get these huge oscillations going as traders panic and with the bot range set correctly you start cashing in on 10% movement each direction from center, full cycle/swing (buy and sell order triggered alternating) every five minutes or so on average, it's amazing to watch when tuned right and it triggers on orders faster than you can verify the orders placed (especially if you add some cool "KA-TCHING" sound effect to each triggered trade). During normal conditions with oscillating market it's a way to cash in like 10% profit on a weekly basis while moving sideways on the whole, not very exciting, especially if you are a pro trader, but perhaps good if you have limited time to trade and are busy with other things.

In the case of BTC-e I was surprised as well, but had BTC in personal wallet when it shutdown (learned that the hard way from being goxxed). When I read the indictment about alleged "international money laundry" it was clear to me US gov wanted BTC-e dead and Vinnik in prison, they use that bullshit excuse to get foreigners extradited regardless if based on real suspicion or not.

Well but Earlier, China had made many decisions and later worked to re-invest While many borough economists around the world are investing in bitcoin, China is suddenly making a decision that seems to me to be confusing to investors.
Currently seems to me now that China is trying to balanced Bitcoin market temporarily.

Did Twitter change viewing options?? Something new tweets used to be public unless you're blocked individually.

Edit:
Nothing new its seems account itself is protected "These Tweets are protected", which means "Only approved followers can see @TuurDemeester’s Tweets."

... I wouldn't believe any of this bravado commie propaganda about how great the government is doping, apparently the Sinovac commie vaccine less than 50% effective ... so typical cheap, poorly-designed chinese shit is broken but they can produce as much as you want ...

... also if it is actually true that the big miners in china are getting slammed by the commie state, I'm like "how the fuck did it take so long??", mining is less centralised and out of the commie hands, I'd chalk that up as victory to bitcoin, took on the biggest commie state on the planet on the most important technical playing field, the transaction security foundation (mining) and won ... go bitcoin! fuck the chicoms
