"Your bitcoin is secured in a way that is physically impossible for others to access, no matter for what reason, no matter how good the excuse, no matter a majority of miners, no matter what." -- Greg Maxwell

US President Joe Biden tests positive for COVID-19fu President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing "mild symptoms," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Thursday. Biden, who is fully vaccinated and twice boosted, has started taking Paxlovid, Pfizer’s antiviral drug used to minimize the severity of COVID-19. This is the first time the 79-year-old president has tested positive, according to CNN. https://twitter.com/i/events/1550126344519819264Hmmmm, wouldn't it be wild if he needed some time to recover a little, and that means we see less of him, and maybe his recovery takes around 90 ish days. When are the mid terms again ? I am half kidding, I am sure he will probably be back speaking unintelligible gibberish, reading autocue cues out loud, falling upstairs, falling over/off bikes, shaking hands with invisible people etc, in a few days. I can't wait!

Elon coming out now and saying that Tesla won't accept Bitcoin because he's not sure that it's made progress on the environmental aspect, which is a lie. Someone should remind Elon that Bitcoin miners literally just saved the power grid in Texas, probably saving lives. It's also reduced the practice of flares to burn excess energy and gotten countless people like myself to install solar panels and battery backups. I think this was a financial decision and expect that maybe in a year when the Cybertruck starts being produced he'll bring back acceptance of BTC as a gimmick for Cybertruck sales.

I'm actually glad Elon sold, the less we have to hear about that clown the better and in the long run his selling will look very foolish. Price still holding up well regardless.
Hope everyone is well on here, haven't been on as much as I'd like in the last few weeks
On the long he will definitely wish he never sold except he has intentions on buying when prices starts pumping again. In one of his tweets on twitter he proposed to resume Bitcoin payment if mining is ~50% sustainable an indication to buy back when prices goes high So how sustainable is the $, Elon?

Think he said he wants BTC to essentially use 9% more renewables than it currently does ? (from 50 to 59%) could be wrong on that Anyway meh.

Bitcoin Can be an asset to transfer for the newborns. I remember as My Grandfather was a Farmer well know in his Area, Due to the reason he had a Impressive Agricultural Land area. That transfered to my father then to me in future as well. So now the Trend is changing as now I'm Accumulating BTC to transfer to my newborn's as my father too. So reason for all this the idea of Plan B as he said its a time for generational Buying checkout. Who's Ready to tell stories of BTC early era in Future https://twitter.com/100trillionUSD/status/1550069094199836672?t=GRVguiTHIcctftT_00GeRw&s=19

I suppose selling Bitcoin by Tesla is not economical but political decision. If all US based companies sell bitcoin it dumps the market extremely.

Chinese chipmaker overcomes US sanctions – Bloomberg
SMIC’s breakthrough puts the company’s semiconductors in the same league as Samsung and Taiwan’s TSMC
Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC), China’s top chip manufacturer, has quietly produced chips to the highest Western standards, despite US sanctions specifically aimed at hampering its development of such technology, according to a report confirmed by Bloomberg on Thursday.
The Shanghai-based firm has produced Bitcoin-mining semiconductors using 7-nanometer (nm) technology since last July, according to Tech Insights, an industry blog. Bloomberg confirmed the report, citing an anonymous source unable to discuss the news publicly.

One month in with my new lightning node, apparently I'm doing something right... I have had a total of ~5k routing events after a month of running, transferring a total of 9.83 btc.
