At least the price is bumping, don't be surprised when it gets back to $25k or $26k again..
Good to see it at $27k but I don't see it going to $29k too soon...
Is like the price is not sure of going up or down... Feel like bitting my fingers off😬

SEC Must Review Grayscale's ETF Bid After Previous Rejection, Appeals Court Rules

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/08/29/sec-must-review-grayscales-etf-bid-appeals-court-rules/

The Judge destroyed the SEC in today's judgement:

"The Commission’s unexplained discounting of the obvious financial and mathematical relationship between the spot and futures markets falls short of the standard for reasoned decision making."

So I've reading that Greyscale has won it's lawsuit against SEC, anyone have any more info on this? Can't find a link or article anywhere... but hence the +5% pump so far apparently.

Note that GBTC is up around 20% at the moment, so I'd say the news "adds up", as the premium is disappearing rapidly.

Edit: Just seen post above that explains things, cheers

At least 26 is no longer the new 29. And I hope that such a jump indicates that the market has begun to move, and the picture with a stick poking at bitcoin will not be reposted yet.

Although...

Looks like it's time for this picture. Cheesy

To avoid arbitrariness and caprice, administrative adjudication must be consistent and predictable, following the basic principle that similar cases should be treated similarly.
NYSE Arca presented substantial evidence that Grayscale is similar, across the relevant regulatory factors, to bitcoin futures ETPs. The Commission failed to adequately explain why it approved the listing of two bitcoin futures ETPs but not Grayscale’s proposed bitcoin ETP. In the absence of a coherent explanation, this unlike regulatory treatment of like products is unlawful. We therefore grant Grayscale’s petition for review and vacate the Commission’s order.

That quote is brutal. A total roast.
Actually well deserved.
The SEC did an actual damage to the US investors, obliging them to invest in dubious vehicle or stocks (MSTR?) to get exposure to Bitcoin, instead of investing in a simple ETF.

The same can be said about governments and all government appointed / created corrupt organisations.
It's always about gaining more power, never reducing it.
