There are many things that we do not know, but I am sure that many here in WO know, governments are quite ironic:

According to a data analysis based on public filings, crypto firm 21.co estimated that the U.S. government still holds 194,188 BTC, estimated to be worth $5.3 billion. The firm noted in its analysis that these are “lower-bound estimations of the U.S. government holdings based on publicly available information.”

However, in recent years, the U.S. government has turned to crypto exchanges to sell seized Bitcoin over public auctions. One such sale came in March earlier this year when the government sold 9,118 BTC on Coinbase, as confirmed through a public filing.

Things are always unfair, that's why when it comes to governments I have never believed, and the less interaction they have with the government the better, but they are very cunning, they must have a lot of Bitcoin, which is not fair.

That is why I do not believe in regulations, it is more money given to governments, that is my way of thinking , that is why bitcoin will never be in the hands of governments.

Maybe they aren’t going to send us to $100K yet, but these are some fairly large pumps that show somebody is buying bigtime right now and with a lot of funds. It isn’t easy to send the market into massive spikes like that and whoever is doing it likely believes the price will be headed much higher so they’re indiscriminately buying all they can.

Sure, they are nice to see, even if too narrow. Every little helps. I'd be very happy with $40k or thereabouts by the end of 2023 or early 2024 if I'm honest. I expect the real pump(s) to occur in Q4/2024 and during 2025. This (2025) should be a very exciting year for Bitcoin HoDLers (and for WO!).

If Bitcoin is worth $40k by the end of 2023 and early 2024, it will look really interesting. Since Bitcoin's halving will happen in 2024, there is only 191 days to wait. Bitcoin's price pump will occur in 2025, and it will be an exciting year for HoDlers. WO

Well this could be good news for other miners. The article says 12 mines scatter in the USA are owned by Chinese nationals.

I do not know their size but if they are large and they are shut down we could get a 10-20% drop in hash rate.

They moved from China to USA due to ban in China. They will relocate to some other country in case USA also ban them.

Kazakhstan is also an ideal destination for miners from China.

If USA decides they are spies that gear will be frozen for months if not years.

USA can be really shitty when they want to be.

They got Canada to arrest a big shot from Huawei and bring them back to the USA they held her for quite a while.

There were few among 12 mines that are directly linked with Chinese government, while few were not and others could not be easily traced. So not all 12 mines are under threat from USA government.
The point is why those miners who have directly link with Chinese government moved to USA? There are other places where they could have gone.

Meng Wanzhou (huawaii ceo daughter) was lucky to find her way back to China. Not forget China arrested two Canadians in retaliation to her arrest and released them only after she got freed.

Kazakhstan is also an ideal destination for miners from China.

Kazakhstan also limits the use of electricity for mining. They have adopted a law according to which mining is a licensed activity, and electricity can only be taken by agreement from the excess portion or imported or produced by miners themselves. Of course, this is better than a complete ban, as in China, but it is not so ideal.

This law was enforced on April 2023 and its probably after government realised that there is huge increase in mining by miners that moved out of China after 2022.
